Worst experience I’ve ever had at a restaurant. If you have children do NOT take them here. My two boys were sitting quietly and behaving at the table. An employee (with red curly hair and horrible false eyelashes) came running to our table and completely lashed out at my 3 yr old child for accidentally scraping the table with his fork. We were all appalled. She said she was trying to protect the restaurant property and would grab some paper and crayons for the kids as an alternative. She came back 10 min later with a piece of printer paper and a pencil. We explained to her how offended we were and politely left the restaurant. We later ran into the nice group who were dining behind us and they said the food was mediocre at best and we made the right decision to bail. They were also appalled by the way we were treated. Do yourself a favor and do not go to this establishment. They have a lot of work to do if they want to appeal...
Read moreWe went to Club Car -- an institution on the island -- many years ago but this past summer went in for early evening snack/drink before walking to friends' for dinner. The old place (as I remember it) was a little dark and the food was OK. What a difference!
I guess new owners took over earlier this year and the whole place is really great. Bright, sunny, happy and the food is incredible! Healthy and fresh. We only ended up having a couple of shared apps (avocado toast, which has smoked fish was really delish) and a cocktail but we came back the next night for dinner. My husband is gluten free and he had so many options to choose from. I had the mushroom toasts (to die for). So was the roast chicken for a main course.
Really recommend this for a romantic but fun night out. Also, they have live music which was a total surprise. Love it. ...
Read moreScam-Alert! Been going to the club car for almost 40 years always had a good time. It was expensive but not outrageous and worth it for the piano player and singalongs. Then I went there this past week with a group. I bought three modelo beers and it cost $39 and tipped 20%. My son bought one mixed drink and 3 shots of tequila (see receipt). His bill was a whopping $109. He tipped 20% on top of that. We then noticed that the bartenders already added 20% to both our bills without even telling us - even after we tipped on top of that (it wasn’t at the bottom but rather in the middle so not immediately obvious). A total ripoff. We finished our drinks and left. Not sure if it’s the new owners/managers but this place just ain’t the same anymore. They just lost a long-time client as a result of these...
