The Skinny Dip: A Summer Collective — Local services in Nantucket

I must say, I have never written a review of any kind but I just had the most outstanding experience at Skinny Dip in Nantucket and had to share.

The vibe of the store was fantastic and as soon as I walked through the doors I felt as if I had been transported to an oasis of some sort. There was careful attention, thought and detail present throughout the store from the layout of the clothing to the gift wrapping. The cherry on top was definitely the minuscule chihuahua “Duck” wandering around the store who in addition to being adorable eye candy, made the store feel like home to me.

Not only did the store present beautifully, the staff was so friendly especially the young girl who helped me, Caroline Rowe. Caroline went above and beyond while I was in the store and pulled many different styles for me to try for the event I was shopping for. Caroline was incredibly helpful when answering my questions and spent well over an hour assisting me with my shopping to ensure I had the best possible experience- which I did. As an experienced Nantucket shopper, I must say that Caroline has been by far the best client sales associate I have encountered.

I purchased a sweatshirt over Memorial Day weekend and discovered holes in the sleeves—like it had been damaged by moths—once I returned home. Since then, I’ve made multiple attempts to contact the store, but no one answers the phone and the voicemail box is full. I also submitted a message through the website and never received a response.

To make matters worse, I asked the associate to email me my receipt, but I never received it. This entire experience has been incredibly frustrating, and the lack of follow-up or accountability is disappointing. Due to the poor customer service and quality of the product, I will not be shopping here again and cannot recommend this store to customers...

The service was great and the atmosphere of the store was very cute and inviting! I was assisted by Mary Hunter, she created a unique shopping experience and helped find just what i needed. Great place to purchase gifts for friends and family. Definitely recommend stopping in on your travels...
