Asked for a quote and ideas for a simple shelf project. Was told no problem, took the time to meet at my home then was given many empty promises that I'd get calls, info and cost estimates to no avail. After 3 weeks patiently waiting and being put off I was presented with: we will paint a piece of wood black for $900. I brought them a high-backed dining room chair with spindles that a non-thinking relative had broken one of the legs of and sawed off [yes] the rest of the legs below the stretchers so it would balance. Dad used to roll the top from the barn to the house across our gravel driveway when we had parties. I was going to replace it but they just don’t make round tables with leaves any more.
