My rating is based on my most recent encounter with Vitex. I had called into them as I received a notification that my video camera which is just 2 years old was not responding. On this particular call they informed me that my cellular module to my system, needed to be upgraded and they sold me an upgraded module and scheduled the install date. The technician (who was extremely sick and coughing up a storm) came out and did the upgrade and then informed me that the camera needed to be replaced. We had a Skybell installed at the same time and that needed to be replaced in less then a year now my camera has gone bad at 1.5 years in operation (they informed me that the last signal was several months ago). The equipment is not cheap and I would expect that it should last longer then a year. When I called Vitex, the person who I spoke to really did not care about my situation. Based off of her responses I did say that maybe I should rethink who my security system for my house and business is through. She took this as I was terminating my system and I received a call the following day from someone who wanted to know when I wanted my service to end. I received an email from a different person who also did not express any interest in the camera issue but tried to sell me a module upgrade for my business. It appears that all they want to do is sell upgrades and not stand behind the equipment that they sell. That afternoon I received an error message on my system that the radio was not responding so I had to call again for service. Juan and Tony did come out this morning and are very professional/ Knowledgeable and did resolve the radio issue. They also did take the time to re-look at the camera. Unfortunately they did confirm that the camera did go bad. It seems to me that this equipment should last longer then a year and a half
Then Today, 1/20/202. The company has the nerve to charge my credit card an additional $127.80 for labor to repair a camera that was not fixed. This company just nickel and dimes then end user. Thank goodness our Vitex geniuses did - and that they sent Robert to our home in an absolutely reasonable time to install our new, smarter doorbell! Robert arrived at the time we expected him, was very respectful while getting the work done in short order - . He was helpful not only training us on the new doorbell features (!!), but also answered a few additional technology questions we had (not doorbell related). Vitex has absolutely redeemed themselves over our first experiences (detailed in my first review)
Do you have any idea how difficult it is to change a first impression?
Let me tell you (OK, I won’t) about how much I disliked my initial experience with Vitex and our new smart home - all because of one of our first salesmen.
That said, UXARI’s ROBERT (as well as some other techs over the past year or so) significantly changed that first impression. Robert was the first tech, however, to go WELL ABOVE AND BEYOND when he added power and a lanai camera for us last week, as well as updated our ACE Module. Robert knew just when to ask another tech (Tim) for assistance (when crawling around in our rafters) rather than leaving us in the lurch. Robert was friendly yet efficient. No wasted words, but willing to listen and he was responsive. Robert even remedied the train wreck inside our hub cabinet using only zip ties!
One of the most important things to me is getting solid response and help when I need it - and having a feeling our home security needs have been met. Every time I've called UXARI I've had great customer service on the phone. UXARI’s service after the sale has been great, and I feel confident my home is secure. I’ve almost forgotten old...
Read moreI'm not sure exactly how to rate this company so I'm just going to share my experience. We originally contracted with this vendor through our builder. We had several upgrades. Before we moved in things began to go south due to a piss poor, deceitful sales rep, Justin D. Then at final installation, due to horrible customer service and lack of organization, we ended up asking the installers to leave our home and we canceled everything. Fast forward six months later, having chosen a different vendor for service, we still had a couple things that we had already paid for that were not finished. Begrudgingly, I decided to call and schedule. I had several days to decide whether or not to actually keep the appointment. Day of appt they arrived within scheduled time frame. These guys were very different from who I'd previously dealt with. It seemed very early in our conversation that this was going to be a very different experience. David was extremely professional, courteous and listened to everything I said. I shared the very bad experiences with him. He told me he hoped to change all that....and he did. He and Lenny took the time to look over and resolve issues... beyond what they had to. David was extremely knowledgeable. He completely won me over.... and with everything that had happened... that was not an easy thing to do. I asked if we made any changes in service, if I could ensure that he would be the person to show up to complete installation. I will be following up to check on changing service to Vitex. David knows what he's doing and he knows how to treat customers, even unhappy ones! I hope Vitex recognizes what an asset they have in David! Thanks...
