Walked in, stepped up to the counter with no greeting, had to find the menu myself (it is on the counter. They have some of the items up on the wall but just the names, no description or price) and as soon as I took my first look at the menu on the counter i hear a voice ask âdo you know what you want?â⌠no âwelcomeâ or âgood morningâ or anything. Just immediately rushed to order when it wasnât even busy. We order our food and drinks and sit down. Coffee was bitter, we werenât asked if we wanted our drinks sweetened or not. We werenât asked if we wanted our pastries warm or not. We got up to get our food and they forgot the cinnamon roll, we asked for it and that is when they asked if we wanted it warmed up. Side note: the menu says âhomemade cinnamon rollâ. It is most definitely NOT homemade. Buying store bought cinnamon roll dough and popping it in the oven does not make it homemade. We finally have a seat with all our items and i realize that I am practically sweating. Why is it hotter in here than it is outside??? The door isnât open which means itâs hot because they donât have AC. I know times are hard for small businesses right now and being a business owner is not easy. I saw the previous replies about having less waste but there are other cafes who do that and still offer better food and better service. Please try to listen to the critics instead of getting defensive. There was a comment from the owner saying that part of the reason the prices are set the way they are is to account for the plant based alternatives they have. Fine but i didnât order the plant based alternative so why am i paying for it? Itâs a cute cafe idea but...
Read moreMy wife and I tried this place this afternoon. We ordered 2 coffeeâs, avocado toast and an egg veggie wrap. The coffee was ok. The food was not. I paid $10 for 1 piece of bread with 1/4 of an avocado a sprinkle of dry feta cheese and 4 strands of pickled red onion. I am talking about 1 slice of sandwich bread size toast. There was nothing else on it, no butter, salt, pepper or seasoning of any kind. It was supposed to have sprouts on it but was told they were out of sprouts for the toast and my wrap after they had made the food. The service was very slow even though there were no other orders being prepared at that time. My wrap was much the same, $11.00 for 1 egg, 2 slices of tomato, 3 leafs of spinach and a sprinkle of cheese. No other flavoring provided. Our order was $35 + a generous tip. I feel like I was taken advantage of and that I threw $40+ in the trash. Donât eat at this place if you want to feel like you received something for your hard earned dollars. I guess thatâs what we get for trying...
Read moreThe guy that was working the counter was rude. Just because someone is young doesnât mean they shouldnât exhibit good customer service in their job. I said hello instead of being greeted when I came in, I wasnât asked âhow can I help youâ or anything similar, I said I had a to go order and he checked the system then walked over to the bag a few feet away, picked it up and dropped it right back on the counter kind of harshly still not speaking to me, I thanked him and got no response not a âyouâre welcomeâ âthank you have a great dayâ nothing!!
Then the food was meh. It was very bland and had no seasoning! You need salt with eggs and avocado. The bacon was like beef jerky and in big strips so once you bit into a puce it wouldnât rip off, you have to eat the entire piece. Chop up the bacon so people get it in every bite. Also, why was it so jerky like and some pieces kind of grey? Not worth $13 at all.
Not to mention about an hour later I got sick on my long road trip, so this should be...
