TL;DR: Store staff does not acknowledge waiting customers. Pharmacy wait times are beyond ridiculous and the staff acts like they could care less that people are waiting. Communication with pick-up orders and prescriptions is lacking. If pick up orders are not going to save people time, don’t offer them.
This rating is for the pharmacy, mostly. I decided to try a pick up order. I added my prescription to the order. I received a text and email stating my order was ready including my prescription. There was no alert or indication in the confirmation that I would need to pick my prescription up at the pharmacy, but I was curious how that worked.
I went to the store expecting a fairly quick process…haha how naive I am. First, I go to the photo counter (pick up orders are completed here) where three of us waiting for help are basically being ignored while the person in the back processes photos. Mind you, she was not working on a order for any one person that was waiting in line. The others standing with me began to look increasingly annoyed. So, I went to the front counter to ask for assistance. They paged overhead and only then did this person help us.
When I was finally attended to, I found out though my order was marked ready for pick up, I’d need to go wait in line at the pharmacy to get my order since it included a prescription. This is understandable, but should be noted in the email confirmation. I knew then I’d saved no time creating a pick up order.
The pharmacy line was really long that day so I asked if I could come back the next day. I was told yes.
I come back the next day after work only to be told my prescription isn’t ready and it would be 2-3 hours before I could pick it up. This is NOT understandable. Not only had I placed the order ahead of time, I got a ridiculous amount of calls and e-mails saying my prescription was ready for pick up. What the heck Walgreens? Being the patient person I am, I said I would come back again, one more time, the next day. I want you to know the same thing happened the next day! My prescription wasn’t ready and it would be three hours because it’s a “stored prescription.” I’ve transferred all my prescriptions to a more reliable pharmacy for the busy working person that I am. Just thought I would warn others on a schedule not to lose any of your precious time with this pharmacy. They seem to care less if you spend the day with them...
Read moreHands down the worst Walgreens I have ever shopped at. Unfortunately, it is right across the street and I often have no other options. I have shopped at Walgreens all over the country and Will never understand how this one continually drops the ball no matter what department you are shopping at. For example, there is another Walgreens 2.5 miles down the road that I have never had close to the issues of this Hwy 70 location.
This has to be a management and staffing issue. If you are sick and place an online order, you will be lucky if the order arrives 2 hours past the time they say it will arrive. I have had online orders arrive 8 HOURS past when they were supposed to.
If you use their pharmacy and place a refill order, good luck getting that prescription when you need it. This is particularly concerning given how many times they have dropped the ball on medicines I have absolutely had to have without missing doses.
The whole corporation is a money generating racket disguised as a healthcare store. This location needs to be investigated for their gross negligence and mishandling of customer and patient care. This store is frequented by many elderly patients who I have witnessed dozens of times have a terrible time getting their medications.
I NEVER leave google reviews. The fact that I am writing this right now speaks to how appropriate I think letting people know the actual dangers in shopping here. Walgreens is not a fast food restaurant. This isn’t a drive thru order gone wrong. We are talking about real life health complications that can trickle down to patients and affect their health and well being. I pray someone from a higher up position reads this review and does something about this store. I have witnessed their terrible service for over 5 years now. Read the other reviews.
Bellevue does not have many pharmacy or healthcare options, so most of us are forced to go here when we are sick or need our medications. Living in Nashville with our exploding population and congested traffic forces many of us to stay close to home for our basic needs. Avoid this store at all cost if you can help it. I have worked in healthcare for a long time. I am educated on how these systems operate and function properly. There is no excuse outside of negligence and poor management for this stores continued and long running...

Last week my wife SCHEDULED her Pfizer booster shot at our local Walgreens Pharmacy (Hwy 70 South, Bellevue TN. She arrived 20 minutes before her appointment time, (walker in hand), gave them her information, and filled out some paperwork, (same paperwork that she filled out online), and we waited. They had 3 staff filling prescription orders, taking phone calls, and helping out other individuals. And my wife sat waiting along with 3 other much older individuals.
10 minutes became 20 minutes, 20 minutes became 40 minutes. 40 minutes became an hour. A few people ask what was taking so long and were told, “we are working on it”. Finally, over an hour after the appointment time a staff member came out and started shots. My wife and the much older individuals go their shots.
Today, I went to get my Pfizer booster at my SCHEDULED appointment time. I checked in along with others before my appointment time. And again, we waited.
The sad point to all of this is they have 4 chairs and double the 70 year old (+) individuals, (some of whom had canes and walkers). You’re asking them to wait an hour or more.
Today, when asked about the wait time, we were told “we are working on it” or “we have to process it through your insurance”. Then surprisingly we were told, “covid-19 shots are given after any and all counter customers and have been helped”
“Counter Customers and their paperwork?” We follow the steps: Go online fill out the forms and schedule an appointment; print off the paperwork; come in 15 minutes prior to the appointment time; fill out more paperwork; and wait until everyone else and their paperwork have been helped. Are we not considered “Counter Customers” once we walk to the counter?
We SCHEDULE an appointment, so that should give Walgreens ample time to plan accordingly.
The part that bothers me most about this situation, is the fact that there are 70 year old (+) individuals, with canes and walkers, asked to stand and wait for an hour plus because they are seen as LESS THAN other Walgreens’ customers.
I do not know if all counter customers come first is truly their protocol, but no matter, it seems their protocols need to be reexamined and examined again. There must be a better way to serve all your customers and patients more...
