White's Mercantile Green Hills — Local services in Nashville-Davidson

Whites Mercantile has always been my go-to spot for gifts. I typically shop at the 12 South location and have always had wonderful experiences there.

Today, while checking out at Green Hills location with a very kind sales associate, another employee - an older woman with short brown hair and glasses - was assisting a different customer nearby. While my associate was wrapping my gift, I was quietly looking at the artwork behind the register. Out of nowhere, the other employee loudly and sharply said “HELLO???” in a very rude, almost scolding tone. I initially thought she was speaking to the customer she was helping, but she was actually asking whether I needed a regular or gift receipt.

The tone and delivery were unnecessarily harsh, and it left me feeling embarrassed and taken aback. The associate who was helping me seemed equally uncomfortable. This is far from the warm and welcoming atmosphere I’ve always associated with...

We're visiting from out of town and drove specifically to come visit this store because they were pup friendly. Walked in and the two girls never greeted us the whole time we were walking around. They greeted everyone else that walked in after us but never us. They were crunching on snacks loudly behind the register but refused to acknowledge us the whole time we were shopping. So we left, very poor customer service. Would NOT recommend this...

Nice store and friendly service. They had some cute items the only thing is very very expensive a simple blouse nothing special you can buy any where around $40.00 they had it there for$268.00 my friends thought i was kidding until they look at the clothes. I think they should try and sell somethings also a little bit...
