Elixart — Restaurant in Nevada City

This is an amazing spot that I would recommend to anyone passing through the Nevada City / Grass Valley area - it’s such a gem of the community. The menu is extensive, the drinks are delicious and the staff is incredibly welcoming and knowledgeable. I’ve tried several drinks here over the past year, stopping in any time that I’m passing through the area. Every time I’ve come in the bartenders have been incredibly supportive with any questions I have. The menu has a very wide variety of drinks from herbal cocktails to cacao to puer teas. there has definitely been a couple things on the menu that I was unfamiliar with and the bartenders have always been able to explain the medicinal benefits of all the beverages and ingredients.

Most recently I stopped here after ecstatic dance on a Tuesday night, and there was a live DJ and incredibly sweet vibes with some people connecting at the bar & tables, while others boogied on the dance floor.

Bartenders Sean and Cole were absolutely wonderful as they tended to a very crowded space with grace and friendliness.

As a traveler who isn’t local to the area I have always felt incredibly welcome. It’s also a super friendly space for families (with a really nice diaper changing station in the bathrooms!).

🌴I loved my first night at Elixart. Patronage here was what completes my first visit to Nevada City--especially for the intent for spirit rejuvenation and auric amplification.

I'm not a drinker and this place was definitely a prime choice to enjoy an array of relaxing teas to uplift the consciousness for present grounding.

Coming in to enjoy teas Saturday night was complete with a magnifying EDM set with an awesome DJ and florescent light display to go with it.

The Zafus were super dope and gave me the opportunity to meditate in a high energy setting. I was able to make friends with locals of compatible energies and made it a joy coming to Nevada City.

Except when I came in the next morning to get a tea before hitting the road I was given REALLY BAD HATER ENERGY by a server GIRL WITH TATTOOS and SHORT BLACK HAIR. I was at the counter for half an hour and served everyone except me. Maybe it's because I'm Asian, I don't know but her energy was shooting daggers at me. She was really fake and could use a reiki cleanse. Her auric field was very low frequency.

They over charged me and when I went in to let her know. She started grilling me . When ? What did she look like? I was trying to pull up receipt. Well of it was to long ago I can't. Then I told her why I did not rush back in. I phoned a few days later My cousin (suicide). I was telling her about over charge and started to cry. The employee said OH GOD AND SLAMMED PHONE DOWN. Wouldn't pick back up. This person said no one would do that here. Basically calling me a liar. Told me to leave. I said that was very unkind and she may of wanted to have some compassion. Started screaming she doesn't have to act anyway. Been in before. Rude clique and are not inviting or welcome. Grass Valley closed because no one wanted to go in.
