We went to Hobby Lobby first. BIG MISTAKE! We had a custom art piece made as a Christmas gift and needed a custom mat cut to frame it At Hobby Lobby, we waited over 45 minutes only to get home and find out that the mat was junk and completely unusable. The size was off (art work fell right through the mat!) It wasn't even straight on the top edge! It was a total mess. So, we needed a new custom mat cut ASAP and I was not going back to them. It was not Michaels fault but we need it same day. Once at Michaels we met Christine. She was wonderful! She not only cut the mat in under 5 minutes, it was cut correctly and worked out perfectly. She even taped it to the mat do all we had to do was pop it in the frane. She was a true professional and she saved the day. We can't thank her enough. Wanted thick, Very sturdy foam board that you would usually pin water color paper to when getting your paper ready. It's similar to the product I purchased but what I wanted has the durability closer to particle board but much lighter. Moral. If you need "ART Supplies" then go to Block.
