After having memberships at Jax & Jilly's, AJ's in Muskego and Roadrunner Express in New Berlin, I was excited that Tsunami was opening in the heart of New Berlin. It is conveniently located and I pass by it daily on my way to and from work. All the others are at least a couple miles out of my way. Sadly, I have to say that Tsunami rates 3rd of the four, only better than Roadrunner, because Roadrunner offers no mat washing facilities at all. The Tsunami wash itself is fine, but it does not have a soft buffer for the hood and roof after the air dryers that both Jax and AJ's have. The buffer offers a nice, clean-wiped look to areas of the hood and roof that are difficult to reach if you have a larger car, truck or SUV. Also, the Tsunami system does not come close to adequately blow-drying the back tailgate of a pick-up truck. As advertised, Tsunami has an automated mat cleaner, but they can only clean flat mats. This is true of Jax and AJ's automated mat cleaners as well, but both have a separate, indoor deep wash tank with a flexible spray nozzle and scrub brushes, for the many of us who have purchased shaped mats to protect our carpeting, such as Weather Tech or Husky Liners. It would cost them very little to put in a wash tub with a spray nozzle and provide a couple bristle brushes for those who wish to clean their shaped mats. This would be especially vital during the salted road season. They have plenty of space for a tub in the room with the automatic mat cleaner. Tsunami conveniently has window cleaner in spray form at every vacuum station, but I have yet to find any upholstery cleaner available during my several trips to Tsunami, whether out by the vacuums or in the mat cleaning room, where Jax and AJ's have them both readily available. Jax and AJ's provide free dashboard wipes and air fresheners at every wash, Tsunami does not. Lastly, the drying towels at Tsunami are very small compared to Jax and AJ's, roughly the size of a standard dish washing cloth. AJ's in fact provides a free take-home towel at every visit. Tsunami is not a bad car wash, but their pricing is very comparable to Jax and AJ's yet offers a bit less bang for the buck. With the exception of the soft buffer provided by Jax and AJ's, all the other deficiencies could be remedied at minimal expense to Tsunami. I could perhaps overlook the lack of the buffer cloth, wet tailgate and lack of dash wipes and air fresheners, in exchange for their convenient location, if they would at least put in a quality mat cleaning tub. Local consumers will need to decide if the convenient location overrides the...

Was just there on opening day. Five dollars gets unlimited washes for a month. Clean, easy, great staff. Attentive and friendly, they'll help you learn where all the extra features are after your wash. I've been waiting patiently for opening day. Tsunamis are great washes. Especially in winter.
Not affiliated with Tsunami at all. Just an experienced customer who has been using the Tsunami on 60th and Layton...and now this one is sssooo much closer. 5...
Read moreI worry about soft touch and automatic car washes due to vehicle damage but thought I’d give it a try due to advertising and the amenities Tsunami provides. I generally use touchless. I spent way too long there not because there was a wait, but because I thoroughly enjoyed having all the cleaning tools at my disposal and being able to pay close attention and give the extra TLC my vehicle needed. I did not witness any type of damage and the man that led my car through the belt was careful. My car had never looked better and it was for such a good deal....
