Ba's Alterations — Local services in New Bern

Honestly so disappointed. I was recommended this place by my friend. I came in to get my wedding dress altered. I wanted a modesty panel that followed the flow of the neckline and wasn't sheer, and the dress to get hemmed. The lady who was working on me also said I should get the waist let out a little and I agreed. When I got it back the modesty panel was sheer and has a huge seam down the middle, the dress was tighter than when I brought it in, and there was loose threads all over. And they didn't put the clasp back on!

I decided to give them another chance as I know sometimes it isn't perfect the first time. The lady from last time (didn't catch her name) told me that I had to buy more fabric and come back. The results were more or less the same. Modesty panel didn't flow with the neckline and looked like what a Mormon mom would to to her daughter's top that was a little too low cut. The loose threads were still there and I ended up having to fix it myself. Clasp was still gone!!

I will never go here again and I want to warn any future brides against...

I got a very thick leather coat sewn with patches 40 of them they did it at an amzing price, $5 per patches, the had to remove an inner liner in order to do so. I gotta say out of the entire geographical area, they were the only ones who would even take my jacket. And they did amazing. Very minute Irish pendants, they messed up the orientation of 1 patch, i brought it to they're attention and the fixed it on the spot in 10 min free of extra charge. So pretty amazing shop then a pin fell of my jacket and I called them to see if it was in the store. It was! So they held onto my pin for 2 days till I arrived. Absolutely can not recommend more. I took my wedding dress here (a strapless fit and flare with lots of beading) and Ba did amazing and quick work!!! I bought a size 8 dress but I wear a size 4, so she brought it in all over and hemmed it quite significantly. I’m AMAZED - you would never guess it was ever a larger size. And she did it so quickly!!! I was able to pick up the FINISHED dress 3 weeks...
