Little bit of everything here. Foodlion, CVS, Chinese Food, plus a few more. All conveniently located without the congestion of Wally World. Nor the traffic snarl. Easy to get in and out of as well. The drug store and grocery store are rarely as busy as others in the area. Plenty of parking too.

If it were not for CVS Pharmacy and Schlotzky's Deli I wouldn't go into McCarthy Crossing Shopping Center for ANY reason. Its a typical "strip-mall" type set-up, complete with the obligatory sports bar; which, unfortunately, is frequented by the 35-55 year old "gay divorceé" populace of New Bern, and the 21-35 "good time" guys and gals of New Bern. As are ALL of the pubs, bars, and so- called "clubs" in Craven County. Other than the bar, the pharmacy and Foodlion grocery store, this shopping center offers very little. The dry cleaners closed down and there's a hour photo shop where you can get a passport photo, or have your film developed. They'll also blow up digital, or film, prints to poster size, if you so desire. Other than these establishments there's not much else...

CVS Pharmacy..... Great group of employees who are a family and they bring you into the family. They go beyond to help you get the best price for your RX(s). They will call your insurance company for you. They care about your health and know you need to keep taking your meds. They fight for your cause. Sometimes, insurance will not listen to reason, it is not CVS employees fault... Keep in mind they did their best. Wonderful in advising on the OTC Drugs and reactions to your RXs Drugs... Can not say enough about CVS and how well I am treated. ...

This is actually a review of CVS in McCarthy crossing. It's a good store however it's not as good as it used to be. They take down the advertising for sale items on Saturday so you really can't tell if you happen to be going in there on a Saturday what is on sale and what is not. they also seem to run out of a lot of products lately and that may be due to covid but it's frustrating when you go in there for specific items on sale and...
