Johnson Furniture Co. — Local services in New Braunfels

I'm writing this review with a great deal of disappointment after a negative experience with the furniture I purchased from Johnson's Furniture in New Braunfels. As someone who prefers to support local businesses, I chose Johnson's over a larger chain like Dillard's, and I sincerely regret that decision.

Within the first 18 months of ownership, the quality of my furniture, including a table and chairs, proved to be extremely poor. The chairs in particular have shown significant and premature wear, falling apart despite normal use.

Even more frustrating is the complete lack of customer support. I reached out to Johnson's Furniture to address these issues and was met with a refusal to repair or replace the defective items. Love the quality for the price points. Tami was very nice and helpful when looking at dining room tables and bedroom sets. When it came time to purchase we had a set in mind that another store also had at a better price point, when we asked about matching or beating the price we got a condescending answer from what we think was the owner and a big long answer on why they couldn’t match the price and even told us to go buy it from the other store! So instead of buying a dining table and bed set we only purchased the table and went to the other store and bought the bedroom set for $500 less. After shopping at many other places, I purchased a sofa from Johnson furniture, as their prices were the lowest. When I had a warranty issue that the manufacturer refused to resolve, Johnson Furniture totally took care of my situation themselves. This was no doubt a manufacturer defect but it was nearly a year past the initial warranty date. Im super appreciative of the effort taken by Johnson Furniture to make certain I was completely satisfied. I doubt I would recommend the furniture maker, but I highly recommend Johnson Furniture and I will shop there again in the future! Its so nice to have a trustworthy furniture store in...
