Today is Oct 12 2018. I see a negative comment here, so read my experience here and let's see if this visit can undo that. I changed the battery on my old Timex, and couldn't get the back plate to snap back in, so went in to this local store 2 blocks from me. I walk in and there's 2 smiling customers leaving while LEE is talking like he know their family. He remembered my call from the prior day, and invited me in to his back shop because he wanted to show me how it's done properly. He spoke of German and Swedish steel, told me about his experience with the best watches and the worst... he was having trouble getting the back to fit on, because I had bent it from trying to get it on myself at home. After some more conversation while he worked, he turns and hands it to me saying it's done. "What do I owe you?" "Nothing." "C'mon! Please..." "My labor is what I do with my hands, this was nothing, I didn't install or supply parts." He asked me what I do for work, and I sat while he had a cigarette. Told him about my craft/hobby, he told me about his craft/hobby, we spoke about things we have in common rambling on for beyond 20 minutes. What an intelligent craftsman, and great genuine gentleman. As I am leaving, another older couple comes in and they all know each other, smiling and laughing as I pass by. I left Lee's place, feeling like I just met an old friend. Remember folks: people like this are becoming harder to find in this world. I will refer anyone in need of anything watch/jewelry, to this man. And I will stop in to say hello to him as well. This guy knows what to do, and seemed very honest. To some folks, that means alot. OH, he will be open on Christmas...
Read moreIn late December 2014, we brought my wife's engagement ring in to be fixed. The owner did a great job fixing it. The stones prongs on the main stone needed to be fixed / rebuilt. The jeweler charged me almost $300 to fix the ring. This ring is 20 years old. Now 3 months later, all of the stones surrounding the main diamond are mysteriously loose and need to be fixed for an additional amount of $300. I would stay away from this jeweler. While they ensure that they have a great rapport with their customers, I do not believe that they have the customers' best intentions at heart. And to top it all off, after we questioned the owner about this additional $300 charge to fix the ring, he said that he wouldn't even take the job and kicked us out of his store....
Read moreThe owner of this shop was so kind to me, I came in to fix my gold necklace. Right when I walked in I was treated like family. While he was washing my chain we went outside and had a nice conversation. Then we came back inside and he showed me how he fixes jewelry with every step. At the end of my visit I was ready to pay, and they wouldnât accept my payment, I tried to tip him and he wouldnât take it, I was stunned but this made my entire day. I would 11/10 reccomend getting jewlery fixed here or shopping here! He makes all of the jewlery sold their by himself and is such a nice man! Also he cleaned my diamond earrings without me even asking! Such a great experience I am definitely going back there. My necklace is just like...
