What an absolutely DIVINE experience! I can't wait to share my journey, so please read to the end. As someone who deals with PTSD, TMJ, chronic depression, and anxiety, I often struggle with fatigue. Today, on my 28th birthday, I wanted to embark on a path of self-discovery and mental rejuvenation, and I found the perfect place to do just that. After scouring Google, from locations in Philadelphia - NJ , Recover Spa out here in Doylestown caught my eye, especially with their incredible offer of a first float session for just $50! While I may be rich in spirit, my wallet appreciates a good deal! đ
First, let me rave about the environmentâitâs pristine and incredibly welcoming.
Next, each float session takes place in your own private room, allowing you to fully relax without feeling rushed.
What sets Recover Spa apart is its commitment to your well-being and recovery. Founded by a doctor with a holistic approach to healing, the knowledge and understanding I received were unlike anything I've experienced in my 28 years. I truly felt heard and understood.
The doctor also shared valuable tips related to my conditions, which felt like a $400+ consultationâthank you, Dr & Amazon thanks you for the recommendation!
Before I âsubmerged into the depths of the universe,â the doctor guided me through the equipment and buttons in the room, ensuring I felt completely confident.
The space was equipped with a cold plunge tub, an infrared sauna, a float pool, a shower, and a vanity areaâperfect for floating in the nude!
This was my first float session, and Iâll admit I was a bit nervous about what to expect. After showering, I entered the float pool with calming sensory music playing. However, my racing mind soon took over, and I had to turn it off. It took some time to settle down, but as my body became weightless and I focused on my breathing, I slipped into a meditative state. It felt as if I were floating in an embryo, and in that moment, everything else faded away.
I began reflecting on life, the body, and the interconnectedness of all thingsâthe good and the bad. I started my prayer and the healing process, paying close attention to my lungs and heart. I realized I wanted to feel completely free, so I removed the head mat and floated without any devices. Thatâs when I recognized the source of much of my traumaâthe tension in my mind, the most powerful part of our bodies.
I recalled reading about how the body stores trauma and can remain in a state of fight, flight, or freeze. I understood that stress and trauma can lead to brain swelling and damage without us even realizing it. I noticed something was preventing me from releasing that pressureânamely, worry and improper breathing. Itâs something we often take for granted, yet we donât always do it right.
I remembered a study by Mel Robbins and a scientist on the art of breathing. So, I cleared my mind and focused on regulating my breath. With each inhale and exhale, the pressure began to dissipate. The moral of the story? In that float session, listen to your body. Use your mind to facilitate the healing process and allow your consciousness to address those arising issues.
This was a 10/10 experience! When I emerged from the room, the doctor remarked, âWow, you look radiant.â I responded, âSomething happened in there.â It felt like a confirmation of the insights Iâd meditated on.
This journey of recovery is deeper than anyone could imagine, and I am forever grateful for this experience. I canât wait to return and share this gem with...
Read moreRecover Spa is just what I needed for a system reset! The cold plunge therapy is both relaxing and energizing at the same time. I was nervous to try the cold plunge but it is a must try! I completed two contrast sessions on my first visit ending with cold plunge.
I went into my first session with a headache and knee pain causing a mild limp. After one session I came out with no headache, my knee feeling great and more energy than Iâve had in months. Overall I was just happy and looking forward to what the rest of the day would bring. The next day I still found my energy levels up and still pain free!
Iâve been suffering from some pretty severe allergy type symptoms: constant headaches or migraines for weeks on end, violent sneezing fits, no energy, and inability to focus. The infrared sauna has been a life saver at helping me to detox whatever has been causing these amplified symptoms.
I also love the float therapy! I am a bit claustrophobic so the idea of a float pod terrifies me. At Recovery Spa the salt float tub is in an open private suite with a hot tub style float tub and you can enjoy with or without mood lights. You can plug your phone into the tub to listen to your own guided meditations, spa music or whatever floats your boat ;)
The private spa suites are very spacious, clean and comfortable. The suite is designed for individuals with mobility issues.
I highly recommended checking out Recovery Spa and all the services they offer. If you have any questions or reservations, ask. The staff is very welcoming and knowledgeable.

Read moreI cannot say enough great things about Recover Cold Plunge Contrast Therapy Float Spa and Infrared Sauna. From the moment I walked in, I felt like I was entering a sanctuary dedicated to healing, restoration, and total wellness. The staff was warm, professional, and incredibly knowledgeable, guiding me through each part of the experience so I could get the most out of it.
I started with the infrared sauna, and it was like melting away the stress of the entire week. The warmth penetrated deep into my muscles, and I could literally feel the tension releasing from my body. It was the perfect way to prep for what came next â the cold plunge and contrast therapy.
Let me tell you, the contrast therapy was next-level. Cycling between hot and cold immersion was invigorating, energizing, and oddly addicting. My circulation improved, my muscles felt looser and more recovered than they have in ages, and mentally, I felt sharper and calmer. That endorphin rush is real!
And just when I thought it couldnât get better â the float therapy took it to another dimension. Floating in complete silence and weightlessness was unlike anything Iâve ever experienced. It was pure, uninterrupted mental and physical relaxation. I came out of that float feeling like Iâd slept for 10 hours, meditated for 2, and had a massage all at once.
Whether youâre an athlete, recovering from a tough week, or just need to hit the reset button, this place is it. Everything is clean, modern, thoughtfully designed, and focused on your well-being. Recover Spa isnât just a place â itâs an experience. Iâll definitely be back (and...
