Zakka — Local services in New Haven

A store that had an interesting name that has an exponentially more surprising, in the best way possible, interior! This store is exceptionally clean, bright & lively aesthetic, and the merchandise is well laid-out! This store is also very new, so I see new things being added, but in ways that don't clog store navigation or the overall aesthetic.

Southeast Asian foods, houseware, beauty & care products, apparel, jewelry, and more are found here! However, the special aspect is a lot of the store merchandise is in the country of origin's language rather than English! I can tell a lot of the items are imported too! It's amazing to experience a taste of that part of the world, but also to find some cherished childhood favorites!

Overall, the store is wonderful, as are the staff members, and this is just the beginning of this store! I'm eager to see this...

THIS PLACE IS AMAZING! They have everything from asian beauty products ranging from Japanese and Korean to food items, accessories, candies, toys, and even cooking ware and utensils. They have everyday items you might need and the layout is very open and interesting looking. Its just pure white and very spacious. Every aisle is packed with a decent amount of things.

Not sure why someone gave one star, this place has everything and its not just pocky, manga, and facial masks like some place in a mall.

Unfortunately, I have to give this a poor rating due to a bad experience. I purchased an item on January 24 and on January 29 I attempted to return it to exchange it for the same item in a size smaller. I had a receipt and the item was in the original bag. The person at the cash register refused to refund it saying that she doesn't refund after two days. There isn't any language on the receipt about such an abnormally short return policy. Then she laughed at me for wanting to exchange the item. At this point I left the store because the situation...
