I was in the area because I had an appointment at The VA Administration. I wanted to find a screwback post for my diamond earring. I bought some 14kt (authentic) gold posts that were too big. I showed them to the jeweler as well and he verified that they were in fact 14kt. I paid only 15.00 altogether 4 posts. The jeweler went into his stash of posts and found one to fit my earring. He charged me 40.00 for one post. I was well aware that he was over charging me. I guess assuming that I was either stupid or broke. I paid for the post anyway. I would have considered buying something else, however this dishonest pricing made me rethink my decision. I put my earring in my ear while i was there and I said "Thank you" and left. Needless to say I wont be back. Damage is done and I'd feel uncomfortable doing further business. Again thank you for the 40.00 earing post that was over priced.
