I came in & I looked at the menu and was met with stares from the 4 guys behind the counter. They rushed me with their eyes but I took my time to see what I wanted. The man rudely asked me”Can I help you?” I said “One sec, I’m looking at the menu.” They continued to stare as another person entered the store and he shouted out”next!”. I ordered a pastrami egg and cheese. They made my sandwich and charged me $10.99. I’m including a picture of the sandwich, please look at how much pastrami they gave me purposely. Literally 2 pieces of pastrami. To make your customers feel rushed and then mess with the quality of their food and I did nothing but walk in on a beautiful saturday afternoon to just eat. I’ll make sure to skip this place going forward. And please exercise caution when you come here. I guess it depends on how they’re feeling or maybe how you look that determines how you’ll be treated. In times like this, this behavior is very disappointing.

I usually avoid chain-bagel shops as much as I can in New York but the whimsical nature of this place's name got the better of me. As usual when trying new bagel spots, I got a simple everything bagel and an onion bagel -- untoasted without any cream cheese or toppings -- as a control test. The bagels definitely have some great color to them and feel substantial in the hand, with a decent-ish amount of seasoning on the crust, itself. However, especially with the everything bagel, the dominant flavor I tasted was just "salty" with no other elements present. The inside of the bagel was bland as could be, too, and entirely too dense without any sense of chew or fluffiness. It was like biting into salty white bread. Not necessarily a "bad" flavor but just a weak, unimpressive bagel experience that doesn't make me interested in trying any of the other options on the menu.

Bagels are nice and chewy. Just a bit dense and the prices a bit high which is to be expected in NYC and the heart of 23rd street. But it’s nice to have choices of mini bagels and flat bagels. The toppings and cream cheese flavors are super fresh and good. Lots of tuna, whitefish, salmon, lox, and vege choices. Nice healthy juices and coffee made here. The best part the staff were very nice. That always makes me appreciate the place more than the food.

I've come here many times in the past and enjoyed my meal although more often than not the cashier gets my order wrong. But today I went with a friend to lunch and not once but twice was our time disturbed by the manager's rude and unprofessional attitude. First, we were waiting in their extremely cramped line and my friend was pushed out of the way because they "almost" knocked a drink over although they weren't close to obstructing anything at all, if anything the manager's nudge would've made them knock something over. Then when we sat down to eat the manager went out of his way to approach me, cut off my conversation, and say "You can't eat outside food here." Although I was just enjoying my packed lunch none of the other employees have ever complained or mentioned anything about prohibiting outside food during the previous times I've dined there, and even that time an employee passed us multiple times and failed to mention anything about this rule. What I found even more absurd is that my friend was dining with food from the establishment, and when I asked "Why?" he simply said "This is a restaurant. Go somewhere else to eat your food." The disrespect from this establishment was preposterous, and it's apparently not uncommon, on another occasion I was told that customers were yelled at for moving empty chairs around to eat lunch together and it was with no courtesy at all either. This "Restaurant" just fails at having any respect for their customers and today I fell victim to prejudice, because behind me was a family eating sandwiches from a different establishment that was never rudely approached and asked to leave by the manager. Never will I come back here and I advise you to do the same unless you enjoy being subject...

We were going to this bagel place all this year. Usually ordered bagels with cream cheese and a dessert & coffee's. We decided to go yesterday afternoon 9.27.2021. I just had a buttered bagel and coffee, I already had lunch earlier; the lady ordered a cream cheese and lox bagel and a soda, $17.50 she spent & I spent $5.00- that's a lot of money if you ask me! We noticed suddenly they had the seating area closed; suddenly, there's no more seating inside the bagel restaurant! I asked the cashier/counter man why was the seating area closed; he told me because the boss didn't want paying customers to no longer sit in the restaurant!! I told him that I have been coming to this restaurant all this summer & I was sitting in the seating area having my lunch, & that I haven't been in this restaurant in about a month; now; he told me it's been a month now since the boss doesn't allow anylonger paying customers to stay in the restaurant; order & pay for your food & leave! REALLY? I emailed the boss as soon as I got home. He had the audacity to write & tell me that I only had a buttered bagel & coffee & that the lady who ordered the cream cheese lox bagel & soda I didn't pay for! I wrote him back saying that I was reporting this pick a bagel on 23rd Street restaurant suddenly in September 27th, 2021 not allowing paying customers to sit anymore in the seating area for this restaurant! I wrote him & told him that we are going to report some other stuff about this bagel on 23rd Street restaurant also because I had had enough of him & must get satisfaction for his extremely poor behavior to paying customers! He thinks that I am playing games...

I cannot say enough wonderful things about this NYC bagel place! From the moment you walk in, you're greeted with the enticing aroma of freshly baked bagels. The staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming, making you feel like a regular even if it's your first visit.

Now, let's talk about the bagels themselves - they are simply divine! Perfectly crispy on the outside and delightfully chewy on the inside, each bite is a little piece of heaven. Whether you prefer a classic plain bagel, an everything bagel, or something more adventurous like a cinnamon raisin bagel, they have it all, and it's all delicious.

The selection of spreads and toppings is equally impressive. Their cream cheese options are to die for, and the lox is always fresh and generously portioned. Don't forget to try their specialty sandwiches - they're generously stuffed and bursting with flavor.

The ambiance is cozy and inviting, making it a great spot to catch up with friends or enjoy a leisurely breakfast. And of course, the convenience of being in the heart of NYC is a bonus.

In summary, this bagel place is a true gem in the city. If you're a bagel aficionado like me, you owe it to yourself to pay them a visit. You won't be...
