Only second time at this salon and will be the last. The first visit was great. So much so that I made sure I made an appointment because the first time i was a walk in and was informed that they do appointments for services. So this time with a 12:30pm appointment, I arrived around 12 knowing I would wait til around 12:30 to be seen since it was appointment based just to be told by one young lady to leave and come back an hour and a half later to get serviced. I am not from that area where the salon is and i live an hour away, so I decided to wait. Once around 2pm came around another young lady took me and hurried through the first service I booked which was knotless braid removal. Once she was done I then had to wait another 45 mins to get my hair washed which was the other service I booked. Now another young lady took me to wash my hair. For a salon that advertise natural hair care, that was a total lie. This girl handled my hair DRY!! while detangling. No water no conditioner nothing. Anyone with natural 4C hair knows that this type of hair should not be combed out dry for it would break off hair. The wash wasn't that great but it did the job. She then blown dried my hair and cornrowed my hair. Now the major issue I had other than waiting so long for everything to be done, when I went to pay, I already pre-paid most of the cost when I booked the appointment. No one in the salon knew any prices and had to call around to get that information and had no way of seeing that I pre-paid already. So I am assuming the store owner was then called because no one knew how to use the credit card machine that they have in the store. When she tried to charge my card over the phone she overcharged me double what the cost was. She then decided to charge the right amount again which then lead to my card being blocked. Out of personal preference I do not have or use cashapp or zelle. She was insistent i use that to pay. I ended up going to a ATM at a local corner store to take out cash. The salon had the nerve to have a male employee follow me to the corner store and watch me as I withdrew the money. I have never been so humiliated and irritated in my life to the point as I handed the man the money and walked away I literally started to cry. I had high hopes for this salon since i was looking for a regular salon to use since I've had horrible experiences in the past. This is just another bad...
