Another black shopping while black story. I need shirts because I feel like they always go missing or have stains. Bottoms to me, have a longer wearable life to me, but for some reason when I shop for tops I see the cutest jeans or skirts. So I told myself buy absolutely no bottoms. I went in Abercrombie and saw some cute barrel jeans so of course even though I told myself no bottoms I had to try those on. I got both of my sizes because we all know sizes can run different. But I told myself get back on task and get tops. I picked up two shirts because I wear a size xs or small I chose the smallest because it makes sense to me. I tried on the shirts and pants. The jeans made my booty look super flat ( thankfully because I came there on a mission) and the shirts were a size too small. So I now that I know my size in these particular shirts, I came out of the dressing room and started to get the shirts I wanted. While looking through the shirts and even before I went in the dressing room I noticed this one man many times I thought nothing of it until someone came up to me asking if I needed a size and I know that’s very nice of them because I did need help but when I spoke to her to say yes I do, I was still looking at the shirt sizes, she broke my concentration on the shirts and I looked up and so many people were looking at me but it’s like when they noticed I was looking at them they started looking elsewhere. It was very weird. I felt very weird. So I just paid for the shirts that I had in my hand and left. He was standing by the door with a couple of other people and it’s like (I don’t really know because my back was turned) they waited for confirmation from the cashier that I brought my items because once I walked towards the door the huddle dispersed. It’s just very upsetting when you don’t have a great shopping experience. I barely have time to shop so I made sure I had time to really look for items I could add to my closet. And to top everything off the man who I saw so many times was black. Who do they think their target audience is I make on the very very 😬low side of 6 figures but I’m pretty sure I’m in the bracket of their target market. People who make money in this city come in all different shapes, sizes, looks. This is one of the reasons why people are opting to shop online. If everyone shops online sir you will have no job to harass your...
Read moreUpdated Well...when I reached a live person a few days later, they explained that it was a security measure and re-did an order again and this time everything worked out fine - the coats are fantastic! So we are very happy with the product and I am now gladly upvoting my rating:)!
The I never write negative reviews but this made me furious. Something really unacceptable going on with Abercrombie online orders - I ordered winter coats for 4 children on Dec 3rd with delivery scheduled Dec 14th. Day before that date I am trying to track the order and see that the order has been cancelled by the store. We were really excited to have children wear their new coats this week and all got upset that the store has cancelled our order. However, I didnt complain then and just re-ordered everything again paying extra for expedited delivery by tomorrow. Today I saw that the store has cancelled the order again, saying it violated their sales terms and conditions without explaining exactly what was wrong with the order. This is a really awful practice because we already told the kids that their new coats are arriving. I dont know why they keep doing it and their customer service is of no help. To I double checked called my bank to see if it is on their side but the bank assured me that they didnt block the charge and it is the store indeed that keeps cancelling the order. This is especially frustrating during the holidays when gifts to children have more special meaning...
Read moreIf I could give ZERO stars for customer service I would! From the manager to the employee that handled the situation in such an unpleasant manner! I was returning a online order I received literally hours ago via mail - the item I was returning was in the initial plastic with barcode on the plastic sealed, however the item unfortunately arrived without a tag attached to the dress. The first employee insinuated that orders ship from Ohio & it’s unlike them to forget the tag 😒…. And I’ll need to return via mail. So I called customer service that told me to go back to the store to return it then last resort would be getting a shipping label. At this point it had nothing to do with miscommunication but just mannerism and awful customer service. Went back and the manager laughed as if my complaint was hysterical & refused to read the email from their very own customer service 🙃. Will not return at this location again! Especially for someone that spend thousands at Abercrombie and to be treated as if I was a liar or reporting something...
