No way to call Billing Dept directly, after much effort my hearing impaired 72 yr old hubby was told Administrator will call us in 10 business days, still waiting for return call on day 9. Beware if your insurance doesn't pay well, they will bill you for a ridiculous amount of money (the amount they bill the insurance). When you complain to the doctor, they will increase your bill instead. Our $300 bill is now $1500 (retroactive to visit from 2017-2019). Today is Jan 2019, we are so stressed and upset. ACH dont care about patients. We only want to speak to someone professional and knowledgeable to fix our problem. We are willing to pay something, but not what they charged the insurance company. We all know insurance don't pay that amount. We need help, not cruelty. Docters have always been good to excellent, it's the Billing Dept that is mean. Please explain to patients what they need to know so we can pay accordingly. Not the exorbitant price charged to insurance. I can not recommend this place. Update: the administrator never called us. We are now calling Emblem asking about our rights. What needs to be paid and what is not our responsibilities. ACH is overreaching and over billed us.
Balance billing is NOT allowed according to insurance contract, ACP Washington Heights had to delete all our bills. DO NOT...
Read moreIf I could give this place a zero I would. I showed up ON TIME (and not early) to my appointment and the doctor Barbara Heath refused to see me. She told the nurse to tell the receptionist to tell me that she can’t see me. Lol the audacity… like why schedule me for a time that don’t work for you? I would’ve understood had I shown up late but I was on freaking time… And then they had the nerve to try to charge me a $50 missed appointment fee for so called missing my appointment despite me being there on time. I had to call and put on my Karen voice and threaten to report them for fraud just so they wouldn’t charge me. I loved the optometry at this place and thought I found a new but I’ll never come back again because of the lack of professionalism and human decency. If you care about your health and values your time, don’t even bother going there. I’ve always read and brushed off people’s criticisms and no-so stellar reviews of this place but now at the r experiencing one myself,...
Read moreI started seeing a doctor here over a year ago. At first, it was great - it was easy to get an appointment, and they have an excellent companion app that makes managing your file easy. However lately, service has hit a nose dive. The last couple of times I've been to the office, the Phys. Assts. have been incredibly rude. And I've been unable to schedule an appointment for my yearly check-up for a month now. The last TWO appointments I scheduled were canceled a few days prior, leaving me to have to re-book and wait weeks for the next. I was just told the next available appointment with my PCP wouldn't be until MAY 12 this year! I made an appointment with a different doctor instead, for the end of this month. I can only hope that they will actually keep this one, as I've been trying to get in since FEBRUARY 12. VERY unsatisfactory and unpleasant experience. A shame, because it used...
