Aeon Bookstore — Local services in New York

One of I think only two bookstores I bother popping into literally every time I'm in their respective areas. If your taste is anything like mine, you're guaranteed to find at least one incredible and very affordable book every time you walk in here, with plenty more perhaps less affordable (but still worth it) mouth watering things to tempt you. First time visiting the store today! What a cool collection of obscure books and records. Absolutely fell in love with the place until I talked to the person working there. I saw a bin off to the side thinking it might be the discounted books, so I asked. A lot of bookstores have a "sales" section... I did not expect to get such a pretentious response. He gave me a confused look, sarcastically asked back, "do you think all the books are discounted," and then gave some snaky comment, "those are probably the best books we have in the store." Unquestionably one of the best used bookstores in NYC, don't let the size fool you! Awesome selection, very reasonable prices, super friendly staff and just a great overall environment. My only 'critique' is I wish they were open more days but of course it's a small independent bookstore so that's to be expected.
