One of my most favorite places to be in NYC. The skate park directly underneath the bridge is defined an epic site to see. People of all ages ranging from 3 years to mid 40s swaying and braving the skateparks ramps and jumps.
You can stop hear the hustle & bustle of NYC as the orange line trains run consistently above your head as you gaze out standing between the Manhattan and Brooklyn bridges by a simple walk to the east river.
The graffiti art is what attracts me along with the weird silence of nyc streets alive and kicking. Me being a freelance photographer I have used the Coleman Playground and surrounding areas as my background for high fashion photo shoots.

Read moreI went to this park with my friends to skate and practice, to be honest I had fun, the concrete is nice and smooth, there are obstacles, there are steps, pipes, manny pads, ledges and bunch of other stuff. Most of the people there are nice to newcomers but some get aggravated if you get in their way or if they feel like you're bothering them. It's worth a visit though if you live in the surrounding boroughs and have a free Saturday, the only downsides to this place are the number of people that go there and the fact that it's under the bridge makes it so hard to communicate with people and overcrowded but anyway, if you feel like skating and need a place to go then go to L.E.S. it's...
Read moreI went to this park on the grand re-opening day. Now that it's been redone, the park is amazing! It was done by California Skateparks so you know it's going to have that smooth concrete. The obstacles are perfect. There is a stair set with a handrail, quarter pipes, manny pads, ledges, flatbars, pyramids, ect.
