Thank you, Curtis Bosch. I was truly impressed by your excellent service and warm hospitality. The size you recommended was perfect, and you helped me pick the best pair in the finest condition among all the shoes available.
Visiting Alden in New York had been something I was really looking forward to, and thanks to you, it became a truly memorable experience.
Originally, I only planned to purchase the 9901, but your outstanding service made it impossible to leave without getting the 990 as well!
I'll definitely come back for the 987 on my next visit.
Thanks again for everything today.
SEP 12, 2025 My first stop in New York after four months was, of course, Alden. As I mentioned four months ago, this time I picked up the 987. Once again, thanks to Curtis Bosch, it was a very satisfying purchase. Every visit puts me in a great mood. See you next time, Alden!

I’ve been to New York many times for business, but this was my first time visiting for vacation. And of course, I still couldn’t walk past Alden without stopping by.
For me, Alden means cordovan and snuff suede, so this time I picked up the 6243F and the 1493. As always, Curtis helped me find the perfect sizes—thank you so much!
My original plan was just to get the 6243F, but somehow I ended up buying the 1493 as well. I guess I’ve completely fallen in love with Alden.
Next time, I want to challenge myself with a pair of cordovan boots. I have so many Aldens that need aging… it almost makes me wish I had more than two feet.
Thank you again for always remembering me and welcoming me, Curtis Bosch. See...
Read moreThe death of another great NY institution: have been going to this store for the better part of 30-years. Indeed, bought my first pair of "real" shoes for business, here. Over the last several years, however, it seems to be run by a couple of loudmouth chuckleheads, who walk around with their shirts untucked, their hair a mess (the dimwit who has hair) and a bad attitude while selling $1000 shoes to tourists. Alden can do better.
I recently tried to work on an issue with a pair of cordovan loafers where the straps tore and Alden did a lousy job of refurbishing. What I got was a lot of sarcasm, passive aggressive behavior, and it was clear they did not want the hassle of returning the shoes or resolving the issue (when I first brought in the shoes, one of the guys told me it was my fault the strap tore because I put on a rubber bottom to the shoe. C'mon these are $1000 horseleather shoes, which I have been buying before this clown was born. They are supposed to be the sturdiest shoes on the planet).
There are a lot of place online, and in the tri-state area, to buy Alden shoes. I used to go to these guys because it was a NY institution, but no more. I will use...
Read moreI went to this store to purchase a pair of boots. I didn't see them so I asked the salesman(who was free) about the boots I was looking for. He said, we don't have that type of boots, now I did my homework before I went to the store and looked them up and it said this store, this location(in stock.) So, I looked up the picture that I saved on my phone and showed him and I said, isn't this ad for this location? Of which he said, oh we are sold out. BUT YOU said, "we don't have those boots as if the store NEVER sold them. I asked, could you check to see if any other locations had them in stock and he said, the boots were made exclusively for Alden Madison Ave, really, ok. He then told me about Ealdwine Raleigh and said they sell a similar boot, he was right. This all took place the day after Thanksgiving. Well, I want to thank him, because I went on Ealdwines website later that day on my way back home to DC and brought two pair of boots and ordered another pair. Too the 2nd salesman who heard our conversation and said that the boots I was looking for had a second run coming, I...
