Allen Edmonds — Local services in New York

The reason I'm giving one star is because how rude and snobbish the staffs here are. So that day I was outta gym and went to this store to buy a pair of dress shoes. I didn't change my cloths after gym therefore wearing sneakers and hoodies. I came in the store. The staffs didn't even bother to say hi to me and just left me alone there for literally at least 10mins. Even people coming in after me got well taken care of. I was quite upset but didn't say anything bc I wanted to see how long I had to wait until finally they realized I wanted to purchase something. Unluckily, they never said anything to me until I grabbed a pair of shoes and walked in front of someone's face then he said how can I help you sir. Eventually I still bought those shoes bc I needed them. But I will never visit this store again. I didn't wear suit and dress shoes doesn't mean I can't afford those shoes. Even if I can't afford, you guys still at least should say hi and ask if I need help. That's it. Nice brand. But bad customer service. I think the company hasn't realized how important their font line staffs are to the company. They seriously need some training about how to treat...

At first, I thought it was cool how small the store is, but that wore thin when I realized how small the customer service is here as well. The wait for help is loooong inside as they can't afford to fit another pair of shoes in this tiny space, let alone the room for another employee. As a customer, you are constantly stepping aside from someone similarly trapped in this shoebox of a store until you are over it and need to step out for air. I ordered shoes from a clerk here that just disappeared. I called and called and called and was never given a direct answer about my shoes and was always told someone would call me back, but that never happened. They always tell you that this is their highest volume store, but that's just because of its location to Grand Central, not as a result of environment or customer service. Good looking shoes,...

I recently visited the Allen Edmonds shoe store, and I was really impressed!

First off, the salesperson was awesome. They explained everything about the brand in a very clear way, helped me find the right model and size, and made the whole experience really easy and enjoyable. You can tell they know their stuff and really want to help.

Secondly, the quality of the shoes is top-notch. The shoes look stylish and elegant, and the materials and craftsmanship are really impressive. It feels like these shoes will last a long time. There’s also a great variety of models to choose from.

The store itself is nice and cozy, and it’s easy to find what you’re looking for.
