ABSOLUTELY terrible customer service. I will not be giving this nail salon my business ever again. I have been getting my nails done here when it was ran by old management (Foxie Beauty Lab), and ever since new management came in, the customer service has become terrible. With the change, they have created a booking site --- thinking that it would be easier to create and book appointments, there has been countless times where I have been double booked with another customer. I have never experienced this before in the past with old management. I have walked-in the salon thinking I would be greeted with friendly and welcoming gestures (a simple hello or hi) however, I've been greeted with "What time is your appointment for?" and sometimes not have been greeted at all until I say the first word. I'm not one to write reviews or complain about a business because I understand that businesses have their off days, but, for it to happen numerous times speaks volumes. The new management does not value their customers. The atmosphere has changed drastically ever since and it upsets me to think that I was really trying to give them the benefit of the doubt. DO NOT BOOK WITH AURA BEAUTY! GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE IS WHAT MAKES A BUSINESS... which is something that aura...
Read moreI was going to the salon before it became Aura beauty. I always went there always satisfied with my pedicures then they changed owners a few times and I still went. However the past year it really went downhill. I usually make my appointments first thing in the morning when they open. I go there for my 10 AM and it was closed. Went back 1015 still closed went to another salon nearby and by 11 o’clock. It was still closed. I called and complain and the owner or manager was a bit shocked and didn’t do anything to help me. Also making appointments when they never answer their phone. I had to go there physically to make an appointment with them, which I found quite annoying. Then the last time I went, which was my final time I was getting a pedicure and the girl thought my pedicure was a gel and it wasn’t. She’s like I need to use the electric tool to scrape it off and I’m like it’s nail polish. She was using alcohol, not nail polish remover on my toes. I had to point out to her no apology nothing and they rushed my pedicure and for $30. I should’ve gotten a better pedicure than that. I don’t go there anymore and it’s a shame cause it’s so close to my house now I have to go out of my way to another salon. Don’t even waste your time. No...
Read moreSkip this place - there are plenty of other professional nail spots in queens. I went for a almost a year and these are things that happened consistently, I was willing to overlook some but then I got a toenail fungus because they dug too deep under my nail, creating a pocket for moisture. I do not think they are licensed professionals that know what they are doing.
30-60 minutes late to starting my apt every time. I understand waiting a few minutes once or twice but sometimes my nail tech wasn’t even in the building at the time of my scheduled apt. gelx nails NEVER stayed on (I’ve actually never had them pop off from any other salon and I’ve been to in 5 years) but every time, no matter the person who did them, they’d come off within 2 weeks. I don’t think they know what they are doing lots of cuts during manicures small color selection and hesitation to do artwork difficulty communicating for non Spanish speakers very poor pedicures, unsanitized, used hand soap as foot soak, rushed, untrained, calluses remain, barely soak/scrub your feet - inexperience leading to fungus that will take me a year to get rid of. I’ve never experienced this before and I’ve been getting pedis...
