I am a diehard Beauty Artist fan. You can trust them with EVERYTHING. They were not playing around when they put "artist" in their name.
Most recently, I tried out the new nano brow service (sometimes called suji brows or powder brows) with Essie. I could not be happier with the results! It looks exactly how I wanted it to. Essie is amazing and she really worked together with me to achieve the specific kind of look I wanted and level of pigmentation. I have complete and total trust in her. When she works, she's so thorough and also so calming and gentle.
Onto the results. I have very, very sparse brows, to the point where my natural brows honestly look unnatural to me. After the suji brow procedure, I went from being someone who had to spend at least 10 (but sometimes up to 30 tbh) minutes doing my brows properly, to being someone who can get away with not doing anything at all to them! I'm chronically late and this is such a timesaver that I swear my recent streak of punctuality is in part owed to not having to agonize over the most difficult part of my makeup routine. And it's an amazing feeling to like what I see in the mirror all of the time, even after I take off my makeup. I'll try to get a friend to take a photo and update with a picture at some point.
Also, I have to mention--the drawing process is so cool. During it, Essie very carefully and diligently drew in the shape of the area that would be pigmented. It was like watching mf'ing Leonardo da Vinci at work, there were all of these measuring devices and strings and she took such great care to make everything perfect.
Going back to my point about the artists working here--with the level of skill, the extreme attention to detail, and the eye for beauty and aesthetics that they display in all of their work, when you walk away from a treatment here, you can't help but be in awe of the artistry of it all. Every time I've felt transformed, elevated, yet still completely me.
If you're curious but unsure about one of their services, they will give you honest answers to...
Read moreOver a year ago I contemplated doing Microblading. As I researched the whole process I came across Nayoung and the micropigmentation technique. I decided to pay her a visit just to get my eyebrows cleaned up and to get a consult. Long story short I decided to go for it and get the micropigmentation done in October 2017. I can't tell you how happy I was with the results and how much time it saved me in the morning. Mine lasted pretty much a whole year and I got a touch up done in September 2018.
At the end of October 2018 I decided to try out the lash lift. I wasn't sure what to expect and was even a bit skeptical only because I have short, straight, Asian lashes. When Nayoung held the mirror to me after she was done, I was speechless. All of a sudden I had lashes that were curled to perfection. I couldn't stop looking at them. Her website (and I'm assuming others) says this will last about 6-8 weeks. It has now been about 3.5 weeks and my lashes still are pretty curled. You can definitely see some that are starting to droop and also new hairs that have come in that obviously are not curled but i can still apply mascara without using a curler. She did tell me that she wasn't sure how long the perm would stay since my hairs were so thin so at least she gave me a heads up. The other thing I got was the eyelash tint. A word of advice to people if you are thinking about getting your eyelashes tinted: this is really only good for people with blond hair. My hair is dark so there was no noticeable difference after the tint was done.
Nayoung is great and as many people have stated, she's super sweet and is very good at what she does. I would recommend her to anyone as I've been really happy with both the micropigmentation and lash lift. I am planning on trying the lash extensions...

I went here based back in 2020 on the recommendation of a fellow NP (Katie Duke). Before that, I wasn't fully aware of what micropigmentation was with the nano needle. I think this technique is less abrasive and painful than microblading and yields a much softer look.
My appointment with Nayoung J happened very smoothly. She was very welcoming & sweet in person, made me immediately at ease. She used the numbing cream on my brows about 20mn before starting. The pain was bearable when she started working. The 2nd pass that's when I could feel a slight burning feeling. We took a break where she applied more of the numbing cream and we continued on. I appreciated her masterful drawing of my brows (she showed me before and i gave a thumbs up). The final results were immediately awesome. I felt l walked out with a new face. I only had to use the small prophylactic antibiotic cream for the week. Otherwise I had no issues
Since my follow up visit in the beginning of 2021, my eyebrows have stayed the same. There is a slight fading by now, easily corrected by some eye pencil, but overall the shape of my brows has remained the same. I feel more confident walking around without makeup since my brows are already done. I also now have an effortless makeup routine since i don't have to waste time tracing my own brows.
Can't recommend this...
