Love the shoes. Super comfortable and many amazing options for colors and materials. If you truly want a luxury experience for your luxury price tag, make sure you get the right sales consultant. Sunny is absolutely fantastic. We had a great experience with him fitting for my first pair of women’s loafers while my partner looked at a few pairs of men’s loafers (he has many pairs already).
My partner has had a terrible sales consultant in the past and it’s shocking that she is still working there. That particular consultant was very rude to me even just passing by in the store… telling me “there’s a chair there” as if I needed to sit to be out of her way… and this was while I was standing next to my sales consultant as he packed up the $800+ pair of loafers I just bought to hand it to me.
Great shoes. Sunny is amazing - we will call to make sure he’s working next time we come in. If you don’t want to be completely turned off from lovely shoes, be careful who interact with. The company should truly consider the obvious feedback here, as they’re leaving money and customers on the table from certain...
Read moreCame in last week after my best friends NYU MASTERS DEGREE graduation to buy her some shoes for her new GOVERNMENT job and we were immediately greeted with eye rolls and dirty looks from the employee working at the time (African American woman, may 16 around 2pm) . She made us feel unwelcome and that was solidified by her locking the door before allowing my best friend to try on a pair of the shoes.Because my friend has spent so much time researching these shoes we chose to stay despite the clearly prejudice treatment. Moments later when the worker “helping” us was asked by another employee the reasoning as to why she locked the door she just pointed to us and made a sour face. After that final interaction we chose to take our business elsewhere. We watched a group of females in the same age range as us who were Caucasian walk in behind us and were greeted with a smile and she did not lock the door behind them. Sad that it’s 2024 and racial profiling ESPECIALLY in New York City is still a thing. I will be letting all of my coworkers/ friends/ & family about my experience here. So beyond...
Read moreI’ve been a loyal Belgian Shoes customer for years and have introduced many friends and family to the brand. On my birthday, my father and I each bought a new pair. After wearing mine for only a few minutes, the toe box on the left shoe collapsed, leaving a deep, obvious crease in an area I have never seen creased on shoes before.
When I brought them back, the salesperson and especially the manager, Pana, treated me with hostility. She dismissed the defect, condescendingly explained to me "how shoes work,” and when another customer agreed the shoe was abnormal, she scolded me for “involving the other customer”. She eventually refunded me and told me I was banned from ever shopping there again.
It was by far the worst customer experience I’ve ever had in New York retail. For a brand with such history and loyal customers, this kind of treatment is shocking and...
