I went to the store on Saturday, August 6 with a friend. There were 4 sales reps standing at the counter as I entered and one spoke and asked what I was looking for. I told him a suit and he began showing me suits on the rack. The suits started at $2,000. After trying on a few jackets that didn't fit quite right, I told him I wanted an extra, extra slim fit. He told me they didn't have them currently and to try back in September. So he referred me to Gucci and Prada. I found a suit at Prada but it was more than I wanted to spend. So, Tuesday of the following week, I called Hugo Boss and asked when the extra, extra slim fits would be in in September. The sales person Rory, who answered the phone told me they had extra, extra slim fits in and have had them in all summer. I confirmed the prices and he told me I could get a suite for under $1,000 that were extra, extra slim fit. I told him I would be in Saturday, August 13 and he told me he would pull 3 suits for me. I went in on Saturday and Rory had all 3 suits for me to try on. He nor I wasted anytime whatsoever. We got right to it. He told me he spent 30 minutes upstairs looking for the (3) suits that were extra, extra slim. Now, it all made sense. The previous sales person didn't want to do the work and find what I was looking for. He wanted an easy sale and if he couldn't get it, he would refer me to the other competitors...or he simply didn't know his own store's inventory...either scenario is disappointing. At any rate, Rory was great. I purchased the navy suit and am now considering getting the black one. Give this salesperson a raise!!! He went above and beyond to help me. 5 Stars to Rory and his experience but 1 star to the previous sales person....So I'll give the overall experience 4 stars because Rory was so much better than excellent....and although the sales rep, I gave 1 star to kept me from giving 5 stars overall,... Rory...
Read moreI visited the store with my family at the women’s department located on third floor. I was trying out few sunglass from the displayed shelves since the shelves were clearly unlocked. So I thought customers could try it on just like the other sunglasses displayed on the first floor. But then this lady who works on the third floor suddenly came up to us and blurted out, “I told you to ask for my assistance if you need something” in a very rude and unprofessional manner. First of all, the display shelves were open. If you want customers to ask for your RUDE assistance to try out those displayed sunglasses, please lock up the shelves. Also, if you want us to ask for you assistance, please be PRESENT in the store. Most of the time, she was at the storage room behind the mirrors and was not there for customers.
Then when I decided to purchase the two sunglasses that I tried on, I kindly asked her if they had them in new that are off display. Again, she rudely responded to me by saying, “NO. Whatever is here is what we have.”
On top of that, when my sister paid for the items and she decided to return the shopping bags for the store to reuse, the sales woman did not even respond or even looked at my sister and just snatched the shopping bag out of her hand.
How can you be so rude as a salesperson? If you are meant to keep the displayed sunglasses inside the shelves, LOCK THE SHELVES UP. If not, you can kindly remind the customers not to open the shelves and HELP THEM TAKE THOSE SUNGLASSES OUT FOR CUSTOMERS TO TRY IT ON.
Meanwhile, the other salesman on the third floor was very helpful and friendly.
I just hope she doesn’t treat other customers like that ever again. She might need more training on how to provide professional assistance...
Read moreI bought a navy blue suit from this store around this time last year. I don’t think I wore it more than 3 Times. I actually wore it again on a business trip to Africa. I went back to Paris and took it to a dry cleaner in the Latin quarter on rue monge ( the reason I mention the dry cleaner and location is coming) Before leaving to Africa I used a reputable dry cleaner on 57street and 8 Avenue. The owner of the cleaners in Paris asked me if it were a Boss suit for real. The reason she asked was the jacket has bubbles and only GLUE would do that . She couldn’t believe it was a boss suit. That suit was about $950. I went to the store and asked for the lady manager who confirmed to me in front of her employees about 4 of them that Boss uses glue for their suits. Of course I complained and was not very cheery especially when I was asked if I use decent cleaners. At the time I bought the suit, I purchased a winter coat and the inside by the pockets is now falling apart. If you want a Boss suit, dont go somewhere else. I used to buy them all the time when they were decently made, say like 10 years ago. Very...
