12/3/22 I went to my appointment at the 39 street location midtown Manhattan. The lady working there that day stated she thought it was an Asian person coming because of the name that I put on the booking.she was the only employee there at the time. I said to her maybe you shouldnât stereotype and she got quiet. She claimed to not have enough time to service me and I stated that I could go somewhere else. I didnât come there to be rushed or half service. She stated that she could do what I booked. She seemed to be rushing the waxing and I wasnât cleaned properly after. I felt sticky. The bathroom isnât in the facility so if you need a massage itâs best to do that before you undress into the robe. Then when it was time for her to do the Swedish massage she acted like she was afraid to massage me. Then told me it was a larger price when the website says a different price. She acted like she didnât understand what a Swedish massage was. I havenât ever experienced this type of service. A Caucasian lady was sitting there when I got dressed after the massage and the employee was doing her nails. I normally love coming here and using this company. Iâm not sure what this employees issue was. And yes I am black amongst other things. This shouldnât...
Read moreI just moved to NYC from Atlanta and wanted to find a good but affordable place for waxes. I've been waxing for the past 3 years⯠in various locations and salons all over the country, so I know good places and bad ones. With that said, I absolutely loved my experience at Dyanna's Spa! I searched online and saw there was a first time customer deal for a Brazilian wax for $25. I looked online and the reviews were mixed but I decided to check it out for myself. I set up an appointment for a Brazilian and underarm wax. I got to the location about 15 minutes early for my appointment, but thankfully they were available right away. I was waxed by with Yaffa and she is AMAZING. The process was the quickest and most efficient in all my years of waxing. She spoke to me the whole time, so I didn't feel uncomfortable and I was finished 20 minutes later. She also gave me an amazing manicure, I didn't know manis/pedis were available as well as waxing until I was at the location. And the first time customer deal is a good way to test this salon on, they kept their word and honored me the with the deal, I highly recommend this place and I'm so glad I found it.
I'll be back next month and every...
Read moreMy experience Was extremely satisfying. The wax technician was very professional and made me very comfortable. Everything was great until I went to check out today around 4 PM. I had no cash only my debit card and I immediately asked the receptionist if I can tip the wax technician on my debit card. This woman told me they do not except card AT ALL and I let her know I have no cash whatsoever. She was very nasty and rude and didnât want to let me use my debit card. I feel like it was because I am a black woman. She then continued to ask me for my ID and said âoh the name does matchâ as if she were surprised. I was then told they donât take cards only cash but she will make an exception since I have no cash. I work at the Lash loft which is a professional high end salon in lower east side. At the Lash loft they accept cards and allow you to tip on the card. The wax technician was amazing but because of this experience I will never ever spend my money here again. The receptionist made me extremely uncomfortable and ruined my...
