Premium Barbershop Midtown Manhattan — Local services in New York

For some reason, not sure why, but Yelp took down my authentic, truthful write-up about Premium Barbershop (158 East 39th Street btwn Lexington Avenue & 3rd Avenue) so hoping Google won't do the same. Long story short, have been going to Arthur for years at the location up the block. The new location was formerly a pizza parlor which Arthur and the other partners worked really hard to gut and build from the ground up. They did a superb job - it has a homelike feeling and very clean - which is always important when looking at the ambiance. Arthur is awesome offering not only great hair cuts, but also meaningful conversation that makes the fresh new look very enjoyable. He truly cares and is dedicated to the work he does. If you are in the Murray Hill area or other neighborhoods in the area, definitely stop in to find your new barber. ...

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Arthur! He is such a fantastic barber. He is extremely detail-oriented. He takes his time, and he cares very much about the job that he does for every client. He tells me that, if I notice something that I want changed with the haircut that he has given me the day after I have my hair cut, I am welcome to return to his barbershop for an adjustment to the haircut! He is so nice, generous, and thoughtful.

I have never had to wait a long time for Arthur to cut my hair, and his barbershop is brand new, so it is very nice and clean.
