Cake Ambiance — Local services in New York

For as long as I’ve been craving cake this week, I opted for this place. To sum it up….not a fan of it. Plus 10 for a slice is wicked! Not even a slice of pizza is 10. Smh They had a limited selection and I only purchased what they had (Red velvet and pistachio).

To sum it up… I don’t like them and I’m a major cake fanatic. I love cake. I didn’t like the red velvet at all!!! Both cakes are very soft and moist but the red velvet is…. Ew. Tastes nothing like it. Has no resemblance of taste of red velvet.

Now for the pistachio flavor, it’s different. The color of the frosting made me feel a little sick too. The pistachio cake has nuts in it too.

Well…. My daughters enjoyed the pistachio cake so I guess I only wasted $10 on the red velvet and not the whole $20.

I was In downtown Brooklyn on Flatbush when I walked into this cake shop, what made me go in was the sign outside offering Cake decorating classes. I saw Jude of course who informed me that the class did not start as yet,while there I noticed these delicious looking cakes, brownies, and this sweet potato bar that’s to die for; to make things even better, there was slices of different cakes on the counter that you can sample, so I sampled them all; Needless to say when I left the shop I had (4) slices of cakes, the sweet potato bar, and the brownie. Oh my gosh! Everything was so delicious, my sisters came from California and also fell in love with the cakes. Jude is amazing and I always enjoy...

I’m not sure the owners know what the word ambiance means because the atmosphere here does not give bakery vibes. There was a terrible smell when I visited and the owner ( I assume ) proceeds to blame it on one of the workers and his food. Imagine walking into a bakery and it smells like a dirty bathroom. I was not Impressed. The butter cake was dry and tasted store bought not homemade and the chocolate cake was decent although we seriously almost left bc of the smell. I do not recommend. I’m not sure how this place was a year ago to get it such high ratings but the quality seems to have gone down and I smell greed on these overpriced cakes in a bakery with...
