Service here is very rude. Serval times I had to repeat my order due to me being American and the establishment being Haitian. My order was wrong and the lady had an attitude with me because she put something in my bag that I didn’t ask for, when I informed her that I didn’t want that meat she then stated “we don’t have turkey.” I told her you could’ve asked before doing that. I then checked my bag again before leaving and saw I had no sides, when I confronted the counter and told the ladies I’m missing my sides, she only gave me one of them aggressively and not the other. Due to feeling completely overwhelmed and not wanting to match their energy, I left their establishment. I cannot describe how much I wanted this dish after nearly a decade since I've moved from this area. The only thing that this restaurant didn't pack was the MEAT BALLS. This was literally the first thing I asked for! I know it seems dramatic to be devastated by a food dish but after commuting an hour on train and after 10 years of searching I'm crushed. I literally saw the meatballs pre-prepared and it was subbed for SOUP. How??? The servers were very nice and respectful and the restaurant was remarkably clean but the missing main course that I found out about at 1 am (I ubered the food to my home to attend an event in the area and came home late to find it missing) I am speechless. I order pickup for a meal and instead of them calling me to tell me it's unavailable the staff cancelled my order and marked it as "I called to cancel" on a PICKUP ORDER. I would literally walk into the restaurant and my Uber app notifies me the order was cancelled by me yet I'm in the restaurant. Speak to an employee and with an attitude "well the item is sold out".... I asked "why wasn't I called and offered another choice" she sucked her teeth. What they don't understand is saying I cancelled does not give a refund from Ubereats. How am I supposed to support my community my Haitian Community when they don't take the time to understand customer service?
