We all know that most takeout Chinese restaurants are operated by barely English special illegal immigrants who have no single clue about customer service, or professionalism. As New Yorker's we are used to this. But today I had to take a stand against unnecessary rudeness and leave a negative review. After 4 years of lousy customer service I did appreciate the fast delivery and okay basic food, but today when I called I simply stated that I wanted to make sure the driver comes to the basement because even though I order 4 days a week and state the basement apartment. The driver goes to the top floor apartment because as to be expected, he speaks no english and reads no english. I guess me stressing to the guy on the phone that to remember to tell the guy the basement apartment was too much for him today because he then preceeds to insult me in broken english by saying "It''s no my job to make sure he comes to the basement. if he no come it no my fault" So basically , even thought I say basement apartment 4 times a week , every week for the past 4 years, it's too much to expect these simple minded idiots to remind their "staff" to at least get one thing right and ready the actual order slip. I am moving on to other restaurants and not ever spending another dime with these horrible people....
Read moreBaili Chinese food has been one of my go to spots since I was a kid, and every time I’m in the area, I make it a point to stop by and grab a plate. It’s a small, clean place with consistently delicious food that never disappoints.
The portions are huge. seriously, one order can easily feed two adults, and my usual combo is enough for four. I always get the sesame chicken with vegetable fried rice, and sometimes I’ll add chicken wings with BBQ sauce and ketchup over the rice and wings. It’s heavy, super filling, and incredibly tasty.
Bonus tip: they include a free can of soda with your meal, but unless you specify, they’ll probably give you ginger ale. so don’t forget to ask for your favorite!
Even though I don’t live nearby anymore, Baili is a nostalgic and satisfying stop I’ll keep coming back to. Highly recommend it if you’re in the area and craving some hearty, flavorful...
