Calzedonia — Local services in New York

Purchased a bathing suit at this location which I did not wear, try on, or even touch for several weeks as I was traveling. Today I went to return said bikini and the employees claimed the bottoms were “not in their original condition” and have “clearly been worn”. I explained to them nicely, I had not worn or tried them on as i decided I did not like them. The employees were rude and said “if you want I can get my manager”, and the manager was 10x worse than the employees, rude, disrespectful, and should not be working in the retail industry. I then got upset, rightfully so, and the manager proceeded to curse at me and call me names. I asked for my receipt and items back to return at another store and they wrote “damaged”, as the bottoms had “stains” and “clear signs on wear”. I then took them to another location, where I was helped by 2 lovely ladies who said these bottoms are easily stained by touch, and water due to the delicate fabric. One lady had wet fingers and looked at the bottoms, and immediately after it looked like a stain. They were absolutely helpful at the meatpacking location unlike this one. I went into this store , a couple of weeks ago, because I was interested in what type of items were being sold coming from Italy. When I looked at the label, I asked the 'friendly' blonde, if these items are made in Italy, and she said, "of course they are." When I mentioned something about China, she said," don't believe what's on the internet." I told her, "it's not what's on the Internet, it's what's on the label, in these items, which I can see, state MADE IN CHINA". "These clothes are not made in Italy they are made in China." I was then thrown out of the store- with pleasure. How is she supposed to respond to that, as an employee of a misrepresented store/ with labels showing that the products aren't made in Italia?

CHECK THE LABEL on all clothing items regardless of where someone says they may be coming from, even if the store is advertising that it is coming from a European Union, perhaps even the U.S.A.!

I love the Calzedonia tights. Hands down one of the best.

My latest experience with Nina at the 5ave location was beyond exceptional. Her knowledge of the brand and product is unlike anyone. I gave her a short description of a pair of tights I bought back in 2019 in San Sebastion, Spain, and she instantly knew what I was talking about. She quickly ran to her stock to find a couple. Unfortunately, they were not my size, but she was able to track a few down at another location.
