One of the first things I was told when I started my training was that we all have a six pack, its just hidden under layers. I also learned its not about training hard as much as it is about muscle activation. Did I mention diet? Such a big part of the equation.
After being part of the "Gym Mills" all over the city, I decided I needed more than just time, I needed discipline, coaching and motivation. I received all of this as well as an education on body mechanics and nutrition all in a very clean and exceptionally well run studio.
Most importantly through Mike's coaching, I realized how much effort I wasn't giving myself at other facilities and always left my sessions at NYPT with a high dose of good pain that has paid off in so many ways: The way my clothes fit, I feel great, I wake up energized, stress free, positive attitude. Suddenly everything in life seems to come together all for a little time a lot of sweat and great training.
I have to be honest, my first few sessions they beat the hell out of me. Trust me it was well deserved and the results show. In my opinion that pain defines effective training and it was something that I was not receiving from any other program.
The experienced staff at NYPT are there for you and will not pressure you like other places. A great staff, I will never walk into a Gym,Inc. again.

Read moreI have been working out with Rui, the new owner of NYPT, for a while now and I have gained so much knowledge about fitness and how my body works, in addition to getting into probably the best shape I’ve ever been in. I worked out with Rui throughout my entire pregnancy and was able to recover from pregnancy and birth without much difficulty—something I attribute to the work we did in the gym. As for the gym itself, the staff is friendly and very good at what they do. I know they receive regular trainings by Rui to stay current on the types of workouts they do with their clients. Also, the gym is clean and well equipped. There are filtered water coolers too, which is a small detail, but I appreciate things like that. I would highly recommend working out with a trainer here over going to a regular comercial gym and getting signed up to a random trainer who is just going to try and sell you packages of sessions. Not only did I get an incredible workout everyday with Guy, I achieved many personal goals along the way and made a friend for life! Guy is truly one-of-a-kind. From his highly personalize programming (we focused on boxing throughout the years), to his genuine care and enthusiasm, Guy delivers results and make sure you are having fun along the way.
