don't really shop at H&M BUT, at one point earlier this year...this location was on the cooldown walk after my run route and there are some comfy chairs on the main floor...so i'd slump and post-run recover in one of those seats for 5-10 minutes before continuing my walk or head over to Eataly ( a few block away) or any one of the eateries in the area to pick up dinner. this location became very convenient for me...the staff and security didn't seem to mind. actually, picked up a sweatshirt here when the weather after one of my runs turned cold after i mis-predicted the weather. the sweatshirt did its job of keeping me warm (and it was priced decently). after another run, picked up a light sports backpack so i could carry some grocery items on a rainy day...the bag is versatile--and to me is pretty well-made for the price.
the main floor is women's stuff and upstairs is the mens section. it is maintained well and is pretty neatly kept even when it's super busy. the staff does put in the work.
the only issues that this store really has is there are NOT enough cashiers at any given time of the day, so lines build ups fairly quickly while the actual line moves very slowly. not sure if this is an H&M management issue or just the employees but the line wait issue is a persistent one. hopefully they solve this bc there does seem to be enough staff on the floor.
thought i haven't been to this location for a minute bc i changed my run routes and workout routine. it's a solid location and shopping experience for people who like H&M merchandise...plus it's within walking distance of so many other retail stores, so you can run a ton of errands in the area without having to travel all...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreVisiting my daughter in the city this week and we stopped into H&M as itās a shared favorite store. We were both shopping for coats and my daughter was using a long mirror in the accessories space when an employee approached us in passing by and a āno trying on clothing here, thereās literally changing rooms right around the cornerā. This was NOT a conversation at all - no eye contact or respect w words. Just swiftly walking by w this sharp, sarcastic tone. Itās my daughterās birthday and this is our first experience out together after some many months of the pandemic w nervous energy and new anxiety around being in crowded spaces. I wish some sensitivity could have been practiced especially w all the talk towards customers giving store employees patience, Iām just saying your customers are struggling too. We tried to talk to another store employee about this incident and she was empathetic but had to reinforce the mirror rule on the floor - which of course wasnāt even the problem at all. My daughter is 22 years old and this just really rocked our day after a long, tough 20 months. We as a collective really do not know what others are processing or facing so Iām just asking for a little more kindness here. Neither of us bought the outerwear we were considering and we left feeling disappointed w the treatment of the store employees. Iād like to hear from a store manager or supervisor to...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI had a very frustrating experience at this H&M location due to the lack of proper cashier training and misleading information about their return policy. I purchased a sale item that had no red sticker, no signage, and no indication on the tag that it was a final sale. When I asked the cashier at checkout, they explicitly confirmed that I could return the item within 30 days as long as I kept the tag and receipt.
However, when I returned a few days later to exchange the itemāwhich didnāt fit well- they suddenly claimed it was a final sale and refused to process the return. Despite the fact that there was no visible final sale marking, they treated me as if I didnāt understand what āfinal saleā meant and were incredibly rude throughout the interaction.
To make matters worse, they asked me which H&M I had purchased the item from, as if the confusion was my fault. It was clearly a failure on their part to properly label the item or communicate the policy. Now Iām stuck with a pair of jeans I canāt wear, and Iāve wasted both time and money.
Iāve had much better experiences at other H&M locationsāwhere staff are more knowledgeable and respectful. I wonāt be returning...
