UPDATE:

I am leaving my original review up but changing the rating to five stars because of how the salon handled things. They called me and apologized again for the cut, gave me a refund, and offered several free trims to help the cut grow out ok. I understand that the guy who cut her hair was new and still learning, and hopefully he will do a better job of listening to customers in the future (although I will probably still only book with Serge going forward). Mistakes happen and I am glad to know that they care about doing their best to make things right with their customers.

I hate to write this review because my toddler has gotten two great haircuts here, but her last one was a disaster. I do not know the name of the man who cut her hair, but he did not listen to anything we wanted and ended up turning my daughter’s adorable bob into a super short, boyish bowl cut despite me asking him to just trim the back and her bangs and to leave the rest long. When I tried to ask him to make it less straight around, he only kept cutting everything shorter and shorter. Eventually Sergey came out and did his best to fix the damage, but the first guy had already cut off so much hair that there was very little left to work with. I waited a few days before writing this review because I am not usually the type to complain about a mediocre haircut, but I have literally been crying over this cut now for days and I felt like I should say something. Be careful who cuts your child’s hair here. Sergey is great but I will never trust any of the other staff with my daughter’s hair again. In hindsight, I also feel like it was wrong for them to charge me for the cut even though they did spend a long time on it. I’m still very sad about this experience, but I haven’t really found a better place for a very young child’s haircut in this...

This is a little late, almost a year ago. In March, unfortunately my son got his haircut by one of the kids at his daycare and it looked horrible...

And then the babysitter tried to fix my son's hair and had somebody use a shaver to try to fix it, and thought I wouldn't notice.

But I did notice and it was severely traumatizing for me to see my son's hair messed up and he had never had his haircut before. I came in and explained the situation to Moe. He was the most understanding person on the planet. Unfortunately we couldn't do anything for my son's hair, because of where and how it was cut. Besides shaving, and starting over....

I was a bit concerned about finding a hairstylist that would be able to manage my hair type and length. However from the minute I walked into the salon I didn’t feel out of place, warm atmosphere. I had the pleasure of having Mario do a shampoo, blowout and press on my hair, and I was absolutely thrilled with the results! I have gone back numerous times. Despite having tight, curly hair that usually requires a lot, Mario managed to give me a sleek, smooth finish that lasted for weeks. The blowout was flawless, and the press left my hair feeling soft and shiny without any frizz. Mario really knows his craft—he took his time, was meticulous with EACH step, and made sure my hair looked its best. I’m amazed at how well it held up even in humid conditions.
