I’m not sure if people are expecting this park to be more than what it can be or they are just confused. During the day, it’s a good spot to sit down and have lunch. Like most places in the city, it’s honestly a perfect spot to people watch ha. There’s so many different personalities walking through this park it’s just comical and interesting. In a nonjudgmental way. The skateboarders are just living their best life like the boys in my middle school once did. It’s refreshing to see young kids being outside enjoying being outside. Pack a lunch, buy a lunch… just take a hour out of your day and check out the area, just sit and be present. Simple pleasures in life!

Ignore any of the less fortunate people that may wonder into the park. Times are heavy on the soul. I hope this park remains open for a...

The Borough Hall building is looking a bit touched up these days and whew! That is a good thing. Not very clean though and that is not cool. The area has taken a dive in appearance over the past five years or so. I use to enjoy that area of Brooklyn Heights, but it is not as pristine as before. The Barnes and Noble bookstore has a guard and a police officer on a regular basis to keep the not so pleasant people out and away from children and women. I do not patronize that Barnes and Noble because of the unpleasant and unsafe atmosphere. I hear that there is a methadone location in the area which would explain the onslaught of certain elements of people canvassing the area. Anyway, that is my take on the...

This place in Brooklyn changed so drastically in a few years, with all the high rises going up can’t wait to see what it will turn out in a couple years. 5 years ago, this area is so similar to West Harlem. Anyhow, just wish Mayor Adam would take care of Harlem as it has been struggling to keep up with Brooklyn’s development and it doesn’t feel as safe as before, homeless and drug uses are everywhere and I hope Eric Adam is seeing the downturn of Harlem. Otherwise, these beautiful places going up here in Brooklyn will just be like Harlem high rises. Paying a lot of rent and greeted by homelessness, drugs and violence at...
