Grand Canyon Restaurant — Restaurant in New York

I’ve come here a few times, no issue. Today I brought my daughter. Everything was fine, except a Mexican sandwich she ordered. It had no taste really and the meat was very dry. So we sent it back. Instead of bringing a better sandwich or apologizing in any way. They simply brought the check with the sandwich still on it. Not even an attempt to satisfy the customer. I asked the waiter, who then got nasty with me, and said, “go talk to the owner!”

So I went up to him. He was rude, unreasonable, disrespectful. “No one has ever had a complaint.” So? The meat was dry and the taste was not good. He didn’t care. I then said, “ I’m not paying for it.” This is how you handle customer service?

I paid the bill. Less the amount of the bad sandwich. And simply handed it to the waiter. Who really did not deserve my very good tip.

The prices are insanely expensive. To give you an idea. Just a side salad is $10.00.

It makes me sad to put this type of review, since my wife and I are regular customers of this restaurant, but the night before the customer service left much to be desired with the new staff they have, Kevin and Katerine are no longer there, some excellent guys who served wonderfully, this new staff was really unpleasant, the attention, the girl, shouted from one corner to another, was at the bar having a drink of tequila, there were diners still in the restaurant and she came out dragging the garbage all over the hallway, then there were about three at the bar as if they were watching a football game talking about other customers and drinking, I think it's a lack of respect for the place and for us customers. The attention was very bad, the services were dirty with rice stuck to the sticky table, we always had a very nice experience but yesterday left much...

Be Careful dining here. On 07/04/2023 we walked into this restaurant about 09:00 am. At that time we were the only customers. Kind of strange for Brooklyn. The server was pleasant and the food did not take long. BUT, near the end of our meal, a small roach crawled across our table. I knocked it off the table and another one came from around the condiment stand on the table. Once we got our check, we were hit with another big surprise. WE did see the cost on the menu but we did not expect to get hit with a 18% service surcharge. And told that this is not considered a tip. So rather than argue, I'll just never go there again and...
