I’ve been having trouble finding good Asian food in the area, and this place absolutely knocked my expectations out of the water! A lot of the Asian food here is overpriced, small, and not that good, but this restaurant delivers amazing food for good prices! It’s an amazing new find, and they are currently in their soft opening.

Don Neo Fusion has a beautiful interior, giving a cozy but spacious feel. There are currently opening up a patio area right now, which will also be a fantastic place to eat as the weather gets warmer. I got the Yogurt Passionfruit drink, which was one of the best drinks I have ever had - I’ve tried basically every boba spot within a 30 minute walk, and this was definitely one of my top favorites.

My friend also got the sesame latte, which I would highly recommend - it was so creamy and they told us that they use a really high quality sesame (?) for it, and you could definitely tell. I’m not even the biggest fan of sesame but I would absolutely get it again!

I ordered the Ocean by the Sea bowl which came with six different kinds of sea food, and it was delicious!! The scallop and squid were especially my favorites, as they aren’t as common of finds in bowls, but everything was extremely fresh and tasty.

My friends got the unagi don and the chicken katsu don! They were both amazing, I think the unagi don was mind blowing even though I don’t like unagi usually - I think if I was looking for a more savory dish, the unagi would be my pick, but if you’re looking for some fresh seafood the Ocean by the sea is the way to go. The chicken katsu was good as well, but I personally reallyyy don’t like chicken so I preferred the others!

We also got the eggplant as an appetizer. The way they prepared it made it taste a lot more reminiscent of uni than eggplant (very creamy and savory), and for the size and flavor, it was definitely a steal :)

Barring the amazing food and drinks, the staff are also so sweet. Everyone was amazing and attentive, and they were great about giving recommendations! They opened very recently, so showing them some love would be great. The owners are such sweet people!

If you come here, please please try a drink, you won’t be...

In an alternate universe where culinary adventures are cherished, Donneofusion stands as a shining beacon of gastronomic excellence. Upon entering this establishment, one is immediately enveloped in an atmosphere that radiates warmth and vibrancy, a perfect reflection of the delectable offerings that await.

Here, every Japanese rice bowl and Japanese ramen is not just a dish, but a masterpiece, a harmonious fusion of flavors and textures. The fish is a treasure from the ocean, extremely fresh and seasoned with care by the chef. It hides in the various toppings - creamy avocado, eliminate greasy ginger slices and crisp cucumber, creating a wonderful symphony of flavors in every bite.

However, what sets Donneofusion apart is the unparalleled service. Friendly and knowledgeable staff act like culinary guides, offering insightful suggestions and adapting each dish to diners’ preferences. Their meticulous attention to detail and genuine commitment to the customer experience elevate a simple meal into an extraordinary journey of taste discovery.

My favorite dishes are the assorted platter and classic ramen, classic ramen come with crunchy wood ear mushrooms, juicy pork and springy soft-boiled eggs. The assorted platter has mouth-watering roast beef and rich tamagoyaki. Don't forget their grilled eggplant, which is full of garlic flavor and gives a happy feeling.

All in all, Donneofusion is a must-visit place in the gastronomic world in this alternative world that witnesses the perfect fusion of excellent cuisine and excellent service. It is a place frequented by many and highly recommended for those who are looking for an extraordinary...

Super cute place on second story of this apartment building. The food is definitely not fully authentic japanese. Its more like a pan asian twist on japanese izakaya classics. For example the chicken katsu don came with a sunny side up egg instead of the typical omelette/egg scrambled on top and they didnt put any onions in either. The breading on the chicken was unusually sweet as well it had almost that thai sweet chili flavor to it. I didnt mind it in the end but it was just unexpected and threw me off a bit. The dish costs $17 which I do think is too much for the amount they give you. It should be like $14 at the most for the portion size. The beef skewer was good but it was on the smaller side portion wise and it came with a heavy cumin seasoning which again was unexpected. I thought the flavor was good but again you dont normally expect to see cumin on japanese food. My wife liked her salmon don bowl. I appreciated how the beers were priced reasonably for example I got a kyoto matcha IPA bottle for $9. Most places in the city try and gouge you for this same beer at like $12-14. My other complaint is that they dont have any normal chairs. All of the seating is just wooden stools which although comfortable are no substitute for a proper chair with a backrest. Overall this is a good spot and is a nice addition to the montague street dining scene, but dont come here expecting it to be a 100% authentic japanese...

GREAT JAPANESE BOWLS 🥘 When you walk up to this second floor restaurant it is a nice discovery for a lunch spot in the neighborhood. The interior is very simply designed and cozy. The walls are adorned with art 🖼️ of retro anime so it gives a nostalgic Japanese atmosphere. This restaurant specializes in ‘don’ style dishes. The main served over a bowl of rice 🍚. It can be cooked / savory or light / raw. I opted for the raw ‘Ocean In A Bowl’ with scallops and sweet shrimp. Very delicious and it’s not often that you find sweet shrimp either. Very nice lunch meal. I also had the yakitori chicken skewer; that was nicely seasoned. The small plate features Kim chi, edamame, and baby octopus. The mango fruit tea was incredible. And the hot green tea was aromatic and a smooth finish. Don is a great new spot and a quiet oasis for a delicious lunch break. Highly recommend ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
