I don't like giving negative reviews. Before, I was impressed with the quality of staff and my experiences at Fabio Scalia.

I was a model for a haircut. It was supposed to be some version a long, layered cut. I'm extremely unhappy with the results. It was a dramatic change from what I had. The haircut looks terrible. The hairstyle is extremely difficult to maintain. There was almost no communication between the stylist and myself, in terms of what she was doing -- and the intended result.

I came with healthy, waist-length hair. I left with an ugly, nightmare haircut. Most of my hair was cut to a dramatic, bob-length layer. As she was cutting, there were 6"-12" segments, flying on my lap. There is easily a 12" difference between the longest and the shortest pieces. There were thin, stringy pieces towards the back.

The end result resembled some horror hybrid between a long version of "The Rachel" -- an 80's shag -- and escaped psychiatric patient from some horror movie. At minimum, it's absolute nightmare to style. It makes my natural, curly hair look like an electrified, sloppy mess. There was absolutely no prior discussion about my lifestyle, styling routine -- or what I was looking for.

I understand this was a haircutting class. However, it's also unreasonable to treat a human being like a mannequin. I really wish that the trainee stylist posted pictures of what she was trying to accomplish, both to inform prospective models -- and to find an appropriate candidate. It really sucks when the haircut is a drastic change -- and cannot really be corrected.

Sure, it's "just hair". But it will take 6-9 months to grow out. Meanwhile, I have to live with this ugly haircut. I'm also stuck using styling products -- and wearing my hair in a bun. My hair looks absolutely gross, even when tied back into a ponytail. I'm very upset -- and extremely disappointed. ...

I recently had the pleasure of visiting FABIO SCALIA SALON for a hair transformation, and I cannot say enough about the incredible experience I had with Fabio. From start to finish, Fabio's professionalism, skill, and attention to detail were unmatched.

Upon entering the salon, I was greeted warmly by Fabio, whose friendly demeanor immediately put me at ease. He took the time to listen attentively to my hair concerns and desires, ensuring that he understood exactly what I was looking for. His expertise and creative vision were evident from the get-go.

Throughout the appointment, Fabio worked his magic, meticulously transforming my hair into a work of art. His precision and technique were impeccable, and he effortlessly brought my hair dreams to life. Not only did Fabio deliver stunning results, but he also provided valuable advice on hair care and maintenance, ensuring that I could maintain my new look long after leaving the salon.

What truly sets Fabio apart is his genuine passion for his craft and his unwavering dedication to client satisfaction. He went above and beyond to ensure that I felt comfortable and pampered throughout the entire experience, making me feel like a VIP from start to finish.

I left the salon feeling like a brand-new person, thanks to Fabio's incredible talent and expertise. My hair has never looked or felt better, and I have him to thank for that. I cannot recommend Fabio highly enough to anyone in search of a hair stylist who truly cares about delivering exceptional results.

If you're looking for a hair transformation that will leave you feeling confident, refreshed, and radiant, look no further than Fabio at Salon. Trust me, you won't be disappointed!

Thank you, Fabio, Ciara and his team, for the amazing experience. I can't wait for my next...

I just left this salon, almost in tears. I broke up with my boyfriend today (im 40) and wanted to get a fresh haircut to lighten the mood. I called ahead to see about having some bangs cut, the receptionist was super kind and accommodating in getting me seen that day. I did notify them ahead of time that I wear hair IYKYK. I spoke to the young stylist who was sweet but obviously green. I had to swap hair (again IYKYK) during the consult to show how i needed the cut to match. mid cut i was DRILLLED in the mirror by two male stylist, literally i kid you not making petty frown faces of disgust at my hair and making comments which i couldn't white catch, their faces said it all, this was not a comment in passing - i had two men staring at me making seemingly nasty comments blatantly obvious to me in the mirror. I wanted to run out of there, anyone who wears hair knows how DIFFICULT it can be to feel confident exposing yourself in a public space. A salon should be a SAFE place to do so instead I was humiliated. Dont go to this salon if your looking to feel better about yourself. I have never in my life witnessed such petty disrespect and so obvious! Side note 0 the receptionist and stylist were nice. its the other male stylists (dont know their names) I think one was the owner....

If you are looking for the ultimate hair’sperience experience, Fabio Scalia salon is the place to go. The vibe is warm, and welcoming from the minute you enter this very spacious, airy and modern salon. The small touches make this a 5 star review: The menu of coffees to choose from, the consultation with my colorist Rocco, taking the time to talk about my color needs and expectations. The very delightful massage chairs while my hair was being washed PLUS the amazing head massage during this time. The time Fabio takes to talk about my cut and style. He is truly an expert at his profession and views hair as art. I am always so pleased and happy when I leave. His entire staff is so talented, knowledgeable and attentive - shoutout to Mary, Samantha, Guilia - and the front desk - Miguel and Stella. This is a very special place and I have recommended this salon to every one of my friends. My entire family goes to this salon- we are hooked. Thank you all for making our experience so good.

Giulia is a miracle worker!!! I came to her to color correct an unspeakable thing that was done to my hair by a different salon (think chunky, brassy highlights that somehow started halfway my head, plus a patch of random bleached hair in the back- if you’re curious about the before, go to Giulia’s IG), after another friend in the beauty industry recommended her. What can I say, Giulia truly is a master colorist: she went above and beyond not only to color correct using different techniques, but also helped me finding a flattering shade that I would love. She was also very gracious about what she had to deal with, non-judgmental and I felt at ease and comfortable the whole time. She easily gave me the best hair of my life. Thank you so much!

I had my hair colored today in this salon and when I took the robe off I had stains on the back in my sweater from the color. I was told by the owner, Fabio himself, that they are not responsible for my cloths and that I should have taken my sweater off before putting the robe on. He was very rude to me and dismissive. I've been coming to this place for years paying very high prices for their services. $180 for a single process color, $150 for a haircut. Despite moving out of Brooklyn I continued to come to this salon, driving over an hour to get there. I was treated very poorly today by the owner himself and I won't be back. This place is overpriced and they do not value their customers.
