I'll give 2 stars instead of 1 because the shirts did seem to be made of sturdy, quality fabric.
However, the in-store customer experience is a disaster. First one employee offered to measure me for sizing, which I thought was a nice gesture, but then he brought out vastly oversized shirts for me to try on and wandered off and forgot about me. After figuring out the correct size, I found that there were no shirts of the style I was looking for; anything that isn't a simple plain shirt or basic checkers/stripes must be ordered from overseas and will take a week to arrive. Finally I settled on 3 simpler designs that could potentially work, but then they said no trying; you can only try on the generic sizing shirts and then directly buy the stock from the shelves. Many of the shirts on the shelves were covered in dust, and it's pretty obvious why. And during this time, a customer at the counter had brought back 3 recently purchased shirts that had all burst at the seams in different places. I don't think I've been to a store where there was such a lack of incentive to make a sale....
Read moreAnother company that uses "britishness" as a selling point, when actually nothing in this store we could find was made in England .products made in England are of higher quality than those made in any other country .so by hanging Union Jack's all over the store and referencing the "jermyn st" roots, the impression is that these are products made in England . Very deceptive exploiting the reputation of craftsmen from a country that produces the very best, and in fact selling products produced in cheaper labor countries .I understand this is how they can offer such low prices on their shirts, but at least be honest about it .I am sure Charles tyrwhitt products are worth what they are charging - but please stop alluding that there is anything=anything British about these products except where the...
Read moreTheir sizes could not be more off. I had ordered 13 french cuff shirts in slim fit online. Well, turns out their slim fit actually fits like a regular shirt and in order for you to get slim fit you have to order extra slim. If you read their negative reviews on their website they all say the same thing and then their customer service rep acknowledge that their sizes run generous. They don't have as many designs compared to Brooks Brothers. The good thing is that their shirts don't cost $100 to $200 like Brooks Brothers but size is a big issue. If you're in the store, you can try is out but ordering online is always risky with them in my opinion. I washed their shirt in hot water and then put it in the dryer and even after shrinking their slim fit doesn't fit...
