Cha Cha Matcha (MADISON) — Restaurant in New York

As a first-time customer at your Madison Ave and 51st location, I will not be returning. (May 23rd ~3pm EST) While I was greeted and assisted by the young lady at the register, I waited 9 minutes for a drink that likely wasn't even prepared for me. I watched the woman, who appeared to be someone from management, service everyone who came after me and never called my name! She did wipe-downs as the store began to fill up. Barely assisting the lady at the register who was taking orders and trying to make drinks. At the time, I was the only one on line and she never acknowledged me or the time I waited. She called out two lemonades for two other patrons, who were also surprised when I grabbed one because why was I still standing here! After at least 7 other drinks went out and none were for me. There were never any apologies from the woman with a blonde-ish bun and cheetah-like print shirt. Not very friendly or welcoming. Matcha quality is good. The only turn off is that they premix and put in large plastic bins so it can be poured quickly when someone orders a matcha latte. They use a small, electric whisk to froth the milk. Nice touch was the sprinkled matcha powder on top with holiday design. Would be nice if they made the drinks to order. Strain matcha powder through a sifter to break it up and stir it together with a bamboo whisk. More ceremonial (pun). The pastries they offer look sad. Wish they had GF/Vegan Choc Chip cookies from the Good Batch and some savory baked empanadas/pastel. The Asian girl who made my drink was very nice. Hope the employees are treated well as I’ve read stories about this not being so in the past. I prefer this location over the 5th Avenue store. Not only bigger but the counters are also cleaner. As my first time ever trying matcha at this place I must say it was a great experience. I wasn’t sure which matcha to get I was going through the menu and was wondering which one would be best to get. I was so thankful to this sweet girl Jennifer she was really kind and patient with me she went over the menu and gave me good recommendations she even mentioned the most popular drinks that they would sell but I was still unsure about it. I was so glad that Jennifer was patient with me when I asked which one she liked she said she really liked the Matcha Draft Latte so I went for it and gave it a try and I must say it was delicious I will definitely come back for...
