I’ve had better $20 haircuts. My hair is curly, so I specifically booked a scissor cut. The barber used scissors at first, then switched to clippers, cutting my hair too short and not blending at all. He also changed my hairline over my ears. Why? No idea. It looks bad. I also got a shave. He left me with razor burn and cuts all over my chin and neck. Waste of money. I’d give zero stars if I could.
Update: George from Clever Barber reached out to me and offered to fix my haircut and provide a refund. I took him up on this, and credit where credit is due, he did turn a bad haircut into an OK one. Still not what I would call a good haircut by any stretch of the imagination, but it is better. If you have to go to this place George seems more competent than Nate.
A couple other things to note: despite Clever Barber replying to my review saying I never went there, I did, and George reached out to me, as is clear from the above.
Also, one of the positive reviews here (written by Nathan Kravets), is actually written by the Nate that cut my hair. In the review Nathan specifically calls out himself for giving a great haircut. If I had gotten a decent haircut, I might laugh this off, but I didn't and won't.
All in all, I'm out 3 hours for an OK haircut. I still wouldn't go here again, but I do appreciate George's effort. Still I've had better $20...
Read moreFirst and foremost I would like to preface this with: I rarely write reviews unless I feel as though I should share my experience with others. My boyfriend and I came in to get a haircut today, and I was extremely dissatisfied with the service of this staff. We showed up 10 minutes early and people seemed like they were finishing up with clients, so we were ok, and they let us know that it would be a few minutes. Our appointment time had come and gone and we were still sitting there watching two of these barbers sitting around and eating. It was 11:30 am, not even lunchtime yet. We waited for an additional 15 minutes and watched men come in after us get seated before us, even a walk-in. They did not even approach us in the 25 minutes we were there to let us know it would be a little bit. If they had let us know I would have had no problem waiting, but it seemed like they were ignoring us. We walked out and they didn't even apologize. These people are rude, unpleasant, and do not honor a person's appointment time. I would never go back and if I could leave a 0 star...
Read moreWell, it was certainly hip until my barber STARTED A FIGHT with another barber DURING MY HAIRCUT.
While somewhat entertaining, it was not safe neither pleasant experience. It looked like a long-running conflict between employees escalated into the fight at instant.
So there I was, sitting at the chair with the hair half-done looking how the man who was doing my hair a second ago jumping and trying to punch his coworker.
After calming down, he returned to me just to jump on his coworker again.
To be fare, my fighter barber offered me the haircut on the house, and, confused as I was, I just left a tip (I don’t know, was it expected to tip for the show?) and walked out.
The owner was there all that time and couldn’t care less about me as a customer. He looked like he didn’t know what to do, as well as other employees. I see that it might have came out of nowhere, but customers make this business running and they deserve at least an apology for the extreme situation like this.
