The chef must have changed. I judge a Mexican place by its chips. I was super excited to see homemade chips in all the pictures - they correlated well with the high rating for this place so I made the mistake of not reading recent reviews. Instead of homemade chips, I received very boring store-bought chips. The chicken mole taco and the pork/pineapple tacos tasted very good (I got both carnitas and el pastor accidentally as the cashier rang me up for both when she misunderstood my question about which she recommended - so I got three so she wouldn’t have to change the order or absorb an extra credit card network fee) but I thought everything was chopped too coarsely (meat/radish). I found the menu confusing and thought that tacos would come with an avocado slice - note only veggie tacos come with the avocado. I probably won’t come back, but if I do I’d order only two regular tacos and skip anything with chips. The backyard was a pleasant surprise - I’d never tried it before because the front looks dumpy. The place is “so close but yet so far”. For the $21 I spent I’ll stick with the other Mexican place across the street. Spend time reading the recent reviews, then just get what people specifically recommend. Also note the menu shows two sizes of guacamole but they only offer the large size. Things have changed here so do your homework and you’ll have a fine but not...

I was excited to try this as I work in the area and am looking for a local spot to frequent. I was handed the wrong order - no big deal - I went back to let them know so they didn’t give a meat meal to the other customer who was vegetarian. My intent was to be pleasant and let them know not to give the other customer my order and eat the one I was given. The server was incredibly rude to me immediately and started asking me why I would take someone else’s order and was shaking her head at me angrily even though I ordered before the other customer and she handed me the food? It was a small issue that could have been fixed very easily without attitude and rudeness. I won’t be going back for this reason, there’s never a reason to be rude I work in service and mistakes happen and you handle them ? quality of the food is totally fine and tasty so if you don’t care about service then give it a go if you’re ok with a $16 burrito, it’s Boerum...

Excellent. Great find. Fast free delivery thru an app I don't know. (So Tip the guy well!) From 100 miles away I saved my Wife this morning when she sounded bad at work and needed, really needed, a breakfast burrito. But she said no place near her in downtown Brooklyn had one. Within 10 minutes I found Fast & Fresh Burrito (google maps) and ordered exactly what she wanted. At a very fair price! Delivered to Dean St in 38 min, (uncannily the eta of 11:23 was exact). She LOVED it. "Delicious" was her entire review which is extremely high praise from her lol. I expect she will have the same at least a couple of times a week...

Nothing but below average. $15 after tax for a burrito that was about 1/4 dry tortilla, 2/4 dry rice and beans, and 1/4 everything else, including a microscopic amount of Al Pastor. Such a disappointment after a long day of work. I thought the idea of a “burrito deli” would give this place an edge; a cute, hole-in-the-wall spot that refused to conform to so many of the “Taqueria” chains in NYC. Maybe it was just an off night but, to be honest, I’d rather have just gone to one of the countless “bowl” places on any given corner. Fast and friendly service, but food that is nothing short of static.

I apologize for not taking a food photo, but that's because it was so delicious! We had three tacos and a a tamale and some chips and guac. Everything was super fresh, and the staff was very elegante and simpatico! The chips are thick and crunchy and fresh, really good guac that's AFFORDABLE! I've lived in Ft. Greene for 8 years, and am a chef and know my MEXICAN food having lived in Chicago, Denver, and Utah, as well as traveling extensively. And this is EXACTLY the little spot you want in your 'hood. I WISH they stayed open until 11pm, but I get it, I'm glad they Descansa bien!
