I saw this store online and I was very hesitant to go there seeing the bad reviews, but I wanted some mid century furniture and it was worth taking a shot. I figured I would go over there, be greeted by some surly person and be ignored, or so I thought from the reviews. I could not have been more wrong.
This place is fantastic. The owner and his assitant are very pleasant and know their stuff. The some of the most helpful and knowledgeable people I have ever seen in the antiques business. We bought a lot of mid century furniture that afternoon, and would have bought more, except my SUV was so small. Their prices were also reasonable.
You will see a lot of bad reviews for this place, look at one thing about them, they are all pretty much worded the same. Its obvious that one disgruntled person placed all of them. Don't believe those reviews. From someone who has bought a lot of old furniture, realize that its old and can break. Don't buy it if you are not willing to put some...
Read moreThe owner of this store needs to be reported for his discriminatory practices and unhinged hostile behavior, in this instance, constituting parental harassment. From the moment I walked in the store I was rudely addressed by the owner and his 2 lackeys: “did you NOT see the sign in the door?!” (Which states strollers won’t fit in the aisles.) Yes, I replied calmly, this stroller folds up, let me just go over there and fold it. They continue, “No! You can’t enter the store! And you’re blocking other people!” I’m trying to move out of the way. You’ve stopped me. (I move to a place where there’s space.) Please, calm. “Don’t talk to us like we’re dogs…I want you out of my store.” I would call his behavior insane, but that lets him off too easy. This is a violation of human rights to assail a parent this way for no rational reason, never mind that I’m also standing there pregnant....
Read moreHuge, multi-level warehouse style antique shop specializing in mid-century modern. I found my dresser and a great Paul McCobb credenza here. Prices are good for what they offer. They deliver at reasonable local rates. This place is for people looking for furniture and possibly lighting. There are few small items. Furniture is stacked in rows, not displayed, but it's worth the hunt if your looking for specific pieces. They will bargain to some degree. Efficient, but not incredibly friendly service. They have many items on 1st Dibs, and their prices are better than average for that site. Many of there pieces are unrestored, which makes them more reasonable. I highly recommend this place for the...
