I write this review as a former customer and fan of An.mé. My sister and I had been frequent online customers, and have had nothing but nice interactions with the shop employees. Until the news on Dreams’ (the company that owns Sonny Angels and Smiskis) involvement and distribution in Israel was revealed. Many fans like myself were disheartened. This is where things went awry. An.mé created a very shady post, and in the comments customers were asking the shop if they were aware of the calls for divestment. An.mé continued to air on the side of ignorance, so customers attempted to make them aware of the situation. Granted there was never any general hateful comments, just an open discussion. I thought that was the end of this until weeks later I noticed I had been blocked by the shop. Not only is this disheartening, but it is very unprofessional of a business to operate in such a manner. When I tried to calmly explain why this was not okay (via email) I am still awaiting a response from the store months later. I see An.mé puts profits over preserving the relationship for its own customers. I will no longer be visiting the in store location as I had previously planned, considering my business seems to not be valued here. Such a shame as I love to support small, women owned businesses. I do hope that one day this shop realizes this mistake, but until then I can no longer support...
Read moreI was at an.mé this week looking for the new series of the Sonny Angels. When I first came in I was literally the ONLY person in store, they did not greet me or barely even look at me. I carried on and looked for what I needed. I asked them if they had any Sonny angels in stock which took them seriously about 30 seconds to answer me looking at each other waiting for somebody to answer. When I was looking at the smiskas I saw in the corner of my eye how one of the workers was looking at me almost like I was trying to steal something, this was really my last straw and the motion was so uncomfortable in the room so I immediately left. While leaving 3 women that were about 5 years older than me if I would guess entered the store right before I left, I heard how they were greeted. This made me feel so unsettled. NEVER going back again. I am not sure why I was treated like this and I recommend not going here. There are a lot of people that have had the same issues while going to an.mé. Instead I recommend going to the stores in the middle of manhattan like for example PIQ. I went there just the day before and was welcomed and even got a little discount for purchasing my first Sonny’s with them while at an.mé feeling to out of place and judged by the literal EMPLOYEES to even walk around and look at what I took the train 20...
Read moreCute selection - i love trinkets so stores like this make me happy. However i walked in with my little sister and we were maybe the fourth person in the store. No one greeted us, just silence & restocking. Minutes later a group walked in (clearly a cute & on trend little group) and they were immediately greeted. Strange to me. Also people kept coming in asking about Sonny Angels and i can tell by the third ask they were over it.
Maybe be a little more welcoming to visiting customers especially for a very...
