I had an excellent walk-in experience at the Lebanese Consulate in New York City. The gentleman at the front desk was courteous and acknowledged me right away, guided me in properly putting together my paperwork, and helped me properly submit everything. I removed one star because I did e-mail both of the appropriate contacts for my issue/paperwork, as listed on the consulate’s website and at the email addresses on the website. One e-mail was returned as the email address was undeliverable, and the other e-mail went through but I never received a response. So I just made the trip into New York to submit the paperwork in person; though I do believe I would have had to make the trip in to hand deliver the paperwork anyway. Edit (09/08/24): I have amended my review to 5 stars, as I eventually did receive a response to my email, which was the only reason I previously deducted 1 star.

HORRIBLE SERVICE and here is why: I mailed POA papers in December 2024 received a phone call asking for photos and i emailed them to the person who called me and it has been more than 2 months and nothing has been completed and sent back to me. Between December 19th when i emailed the requested photo IDs I sent at least six emails asking for an update and NO ONE answers my email. I also left three voice mails and NO ONE answers the voice mail. HORRIBLE SERVICE. Does anyone have any suggestions for me on what to do next or who i can contact directly? Who governs the work performed at Consulate working in the US; does...

Some of the reviews are unfair to the consulate General of Lebanon in NY.

1- Giving a 1 star review because the Consulate is closed on Thanksgiving doesn't make sense. Please check the website before going there. 2-we are severely understaffed: 3 employees working for 10 states! If no answer, leave a voice message to get back to you or at least an email. 3- There are severe budget cuts, and remodeling for privacy is not an option at the moment, but all formalities done are highly discrete and private.
