Just took yoga sculpt. The environment is uncomfortable. The instructor screams over the music which is exceptionally unpleasant when she stands next to you. A mic/headset would solve this issue or lower the music. You can hear the instructor straining her voice so loud it was uncomfortable to listen to her. Also when she wasnāt yelling loud enough or went to the opposite side of the room, despite her screaming, bc of the blaring music I couldnāt hear the instructions. This happened several times. The instruction is given FAST and since the instructor was screaming over blasting music it also sounded like a mumbled yell at times. No idea what she said for 3/4 of the class.
The instructor also did not introduce herself to first timers, fix anyoneās form, and just kept repeating ālooking strongā every other exercise. Unmotivating and not genuine.
Lastly, a few transitions were wonky and felt forced. Sometimes less is more esp when it comes to doing exercises with correct form.
Sad to say, corepower was one of the worst workout classes Iāve experienced. Really disappointed. Maybe the Noho location is better or maybe I just had a...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe instructors are good and they deliver a rigorous hot flow workout.
Not Yoga: It is not āyogaā. There is no spiritual aspect, no breath work, no relaxation, and very little asana instruction (because the flow goes so fast). It purely about the physical exercise with abdominal exercises at the 30-minute marker.
Crowded: Sometimes the classes become so full and the room gets so hot it feels like they must be breaking the fire code. They should really put a capacity limit.
Cancellations: Customers are charged $30 for skipping class...but they have no functional phone number. So thereās no way to cancel unless you log into your online account on the clunky website. Especially when Iām in a crunch and canāt make it to class, itās really...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis is a great hot room studio with warm teachers and staff. A lot of formats to choose from: Sculpt is power vinyasa flow with weights and cardio elements. C1 through C3 are their signature vinyasa flows with varying intensity. Hot Power Fusion is 26x2, set sequence with sustained holds. Strength X is circuit/interval training with muscle group focuses (room temp is a bit lower, technically unheated but there will be residual heat). CoreRestore is yin yoga. There are wipes and sprays to sanitize props, and showers should you need it. The cues are excellent, and you will leave feeling healthier and happier. I have learned so much and I am so glad it is a...
